Fissile: Ohio women are worse than Ohio men when it comes to trash talk.  BTW, it seems that half the women doing porn in LA are from Ohio.   Oh, Larry Flynt started Hustler magazine in Ohio.

Heh, I did not know Catalina Cruz was from Ohio....

Well, at least they have a reason to swear, they are stuck in Ohio

blogs.wofford.edu

I remember back in the late 90's early 2000's there was sort of an unofficial slogan in the Dayton punk/industrial scene "fark you, I'm from Dayton". That kinda sums it up.

I was able to get out of Ohio and move to Oregon about 10 years ago and I still have friends that I love and miss from back there, but man, I am glad I finally realized I was allowed to leave (you would be surprised how many people in Ohio do not realize that is an option)

My wife is from Scioto and has a profane vocabulary just like an .... an Ohioan. My GF is a Georgain and has two degrees in English. Helps me know who is on which side of me.

Actually, last time I checked, Ohio had more cities with a population over 100K than any other state in the country.  I'm not a hugely proud Ohioan, just wanted to point out the fact that there are a lot of cities between those cornfields.

I have been to various different states.  The most "exotic" one would be California (LA).  They each have their pros and cons and yes, Ohio isn't perfect, but it isn't anywhere close to the imaginary crap hole people make it out to be.  But hey, it is cool to hate on Ohio apparently.

I have never been to NY, and I would go to NY State, but I have no desire to step foot anywhere near NYC, it just isn't a place I would feel comfortable in.  Humanity wasn't designed to be that dense IMO.

Please stop.  I was born, raised and spent my entire life within a 15 miles radius of NYC.   When I was a kid in the 70s, my friend and I would spend the summer handing out advertising flyers in Times Square.  THE 70s!  When the place hit rock bottom.  It was never as dangerous as some of you flyover paranoiacs believe and it's much better now.

I think he/she was referring to population density, not crime.

I spent a few years in Dayton when I was young. You could go outside at the high school during lunch and buy any kind of drug you wanted.
Also, those aliens from Roswell are out in the hangar at Wright-Patterson AFB, and they might come back to life one day and summon help. My dad's friend saw them.

Cincinnati is a beautiful city.  Some of the talk radio hosts are a bit nuts. Columbus is nice. But if I lived in Sandusky, I'd cuss too.

I noticed that Maryland is #2 for cussing and #3 for please-and-thank-you. Apparently they will politely say "Please go fark yourself. Thank you."

And there is that famous NYC arrogance. Get over yourself. I never said "I don't feel safe" because I have faced more dangers then simple crime in NYC.  I have had to deal with tweaking meth heads, drug dealers, and the KKK, not to mention being chased by a bull and rolling a tractor over.  No place is truly safe.

Buttknuckle: I think he/she was referring to population density, not crime.

Bingo.  I am not a fan of large crowds, not enough control of the situation.  I grew up on a farm, and my closest neighbor was a half mile away (through a forest, so I couldn't see them), and the county population density is 128 sq/mi currently.  It just seems unnatural to me to be so densely populated.  Going to OSU in Columbus, Ohio for 5 years was enough for me (and that was only 750,000 people) and traveling to large cities makes me anxious and stressed out (I have had to go to LA and Atlanta for work).  Columbus doesn't even make the list of top 125 dense cities, the only one on the list from Ohio is Cleveland, and it is 118.
