Oh, I remember that series finale. Goodbye, Michael was the perfect ending.

Not as good as the BSG finale. That escape from New Caprica was awesome.

You mean Jim declining the NYC job and returning to Scranton to ask Pan out, right?

The British version of this thread will be so much funnier. This version is gonna be dumbed down for an American audience

I don't care though, I don't even own a TV

Wait until the reveal that the whole series was an acid hallucination from world famous rock star Creed Bratton

Nothing beats the "gradually add weights to Dwight's phone handset and then one day remove them" prank.

Except maybe for "future Dwight" faxes.

So they finally started showing the "documentary" that they'd been filming for 10 years. That's quite a farking delay.

I'm calling it. Creed goes on a shooting rampage.

Show should've ended with Idris Elba dissolving the branch because the entire staff was retarded.

I loved the part when Dawn opened Tim's gift and it was a painting set. That was heart-warming.

I remember the series finale for this one, she has to die to stop the new universe that Bell was creating

oh wait no,,, mistaken,, now I remember

Dr. Hartley says  wakes up next to his wife and says "Honey, you won't believe the dream I just had."

Final scene:

INT. Dunder-Mifflin Office, evening. JIM and PAM are carrying their belongings out in cardboard boxes. JIM takes a last look around the empty office, pauses, and turns off the lights.

Camera pulls back slowly, revealing the documentary crew packing up. Continues to pull back, revealing a second film crew actively filming the documentary crew. Camera pulls back further, revealing the film crews and office set to actually be plastic figures, part of a toy office set being played with by CHILD. Furnishings in the room suggest that it is the toddler child of JIM and PAM. Camera continues to pull back, demonstrating that CHILD is actually an animation being shown on a computer screen. Camera continues to pull back, showing that the child animation is a screen saver being played on JIM's office computer as JIM daydreams. The office is fully-staffed and the employees are engaging in regular work. PAM is sitting at the reception desk; there is no sign of characters from subsequent seasons. ROY enters and engages PAM in an unheard conversation, gives her a quick, perfunctory kiss, and exits. JIM gazes at ROY and PAM for a beat, then sighs, and returns to work. Fade out.

I don't know what you people are talking about The Office ended in 2003.

Still, I felt the "happy" ending was a bit inappropriate. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop on David's Christmas party date. The previous episode was better.

God I love arrested development

Crap my memory is shot.... now I know what the finale will be.  Sam will leap into a unique setting on his birthdate where the bartender knows a bit more than he should(cause he's god or something) and his reflection is his own. Sam meets other characters with names from his former life in the bar and figures out his mission is to keep leaping with the hand of god guiding him - Sam Beckett never returned home

I thought it was great ending. For the majority of the show and special you saw Tim and David getting savagely beat down by life and for brief moment you saw both of them happy.

Am I the only person that doesn't like the British version of The Office? I put my dislike of Gervais aside and tried to watch it when they were showing it on Adult Swim.  I couldn't stand it. I kept waiting for everyone to take the marbles out of their mouths and talk where I could actually understand what the hell they were saying.

The last half of this season was pretty good. Anything with Andy has been terrible though.

THIS! There may have been a lot of good jokes on that show, but I didn't understand a one of them.

I think the season would've really benefited from a shorter season. Even with Andy being an asshole, I thought the first half was much better than the show's last 3 or 4 years (especially since Andy went away for a while), but it really hit a rough patch midway through (when Andy returned and Jim and Pam's marriage was on the rocks. I really want to know if they were even tempted to have Pam hook up with Camera Guy.)

I still say the show was at least far less annoying without Michael Scott. I really have a hard time believing anyone preferred the show with Michael from about seasons 5 - 7.

Infidelity storylines are pretty poisonous to the show because people will identify with the relationship. Dan cheating on Rosanne really hurt that show back in the day.

The Office should have ended when Jim and Pam got married.  The last few seasons have been pretty bad.

I would agree with this as a more fitting ending than michael leaving. I think the show could've survived without Michael (and it did for the first half of this season), but the show did start to lose its footing once the Pam and Jim relationship reached its inevitable conclusion.

I can understand "Brits".  But the way they talked in The Office was like listening to a office full of shoe-gazer emo adults.  For me it was an exercise in frustration to try and figure out what the hell they were saying.

Here we go.....
A) Better have Michael Scott
B) If not, it better open with Toby killing Jim and the next 65 minutes are him gently stroking Pam's hair with a brush

I think having them winning the lottery did the show in. I mean i know they knew it was the last season but still, it was a bad idea.

Jim looks into the mirror and smashes his head into it, bloodying the glass. Dwight's face appears in the mirror. Jim maniacally repeats, "How's Pam?" and laughs uncontrollably.

I would love to see a Office remake of the Red Room scene with Jim as Cooper and Dwight as The Man From Another World.
