It is probably because none of these "scandals" actually merit damage control.

Or at least they under-estimated the degree to which these could be exaggerated and distorted INTO "scandals."

well the AP one, maybe. That may end up getting Holder's ass fired

Yeah, it's pretty darn bad.

Maybe, maybe not. With more detail, it doesn't seem as bad as the initial accusations.

Still, it could be "death by a thousand papercuts" for Holder, the dude has had an amazing ability to avoid major damage from a variety of things over the years. Maybe this will be the straw that broke the muppet's back.

That's what I'm thinking. They finally have reason to get rid of Holder....though I have no idea why the GOP hates him so. Was their recommendation for AG snuffed by Obama for him or something? Was the confirmation hearings over him tough?

I really don't know. That video with Gohmert is a great example - Holder barely contradicts him, and he's off and running up on his anger-cross about the uppity AG daring to question him.

Let's see, fire the guy only holding the position on a temporary basis and who was scheduled to leave that post next month anyway. Then have that guy inform his staff that he would remain in office until next month.

Leadership by BOB.

I'd like to see Obama just drop the mic and strut off the stage like rappers do in battle.

From what I remember the confirmation hearing was pretty boring and standard.

I don't really see how they hang this on Holder once the late night shows start showing clips like:

May 2012: Outraged Republican speaks about leaks in Obama administration
May 2013: Outraged Republican speaks about Obama administration investigating leaks

The problem is they cry wolf so often that everyone except their base is just like "meh".

so....were they still in a dumbfounded stupor as to how Old Man McCain and Tits-up Barbie lost to a black guy that they couldn't bother questioning Holder?

I just remember Holder introducing his entire family who was there and then the first few questions were about how lovely a family he had.  After that I pretty much passed out from boredom.

That would be interesting to see because, although what Holder did is very, very wrong, it is also legal under the provisions of the Patriot Act. Now, if we had a press that had been railing against the Patriot Act all along, and this came along and let them put the final nail in the coffin, that would be one thing. But the mainstream press - including the AP - have either been silent or for the Patriot Act from its inception on through the subsequent renewals. So, if Holder gets fired because the press only care about how the Patriot Act affects their liberties but not the liberties of the general public, well, that's not going to look too good.

So in other words, 'I hate it because it now affects me.'

Would be crazy, and unrealistically optimistic, if this starts a chain reaction to remove the patriot act.

Dusk-You-n-Me: 'Fox & Friends' hosts think Obama's scandal damage control is a plot to 'confuse' them

It's working!

Shoe laces are a plot to confuse Fox & Friends hosts.

If he comes out with indictments and a strong case against someone for leaking information, he should be OK.  If he doesn't, he will likely resign but it will be one of those things where the President says that he didn't want to accept his resignation.  Maybe he will get a BS award like Tennet got.
