Nice one, travelers. Enough of you paid them that they stick around forever.

Southwest, FTW.

I'll have my Republican card revoked for thinking like this but I believe the FTC's not doing their job here.

It used to be the airlines advertised fares as one-way without tax. The FTC put and end to that because it was deceitful (and rightfully so).

What needs to happen next is that the fare advertised and displayed in the largest font must include at least one carry-on and one checked bag each way, any meal fee for a flight in excess of three hours, and any check-in or boarding pass fees that could be charged at the airport.

Sure, allow a smaller "As low as" below or near the required display but it can't be confusingly similar. Airlines themselves may use a search engine which takes into account a passenger's elite status or other benefit reducing or eliminating fees.

Southwest will be implementing checked bag fees later on in the year.

it's company policy never to imply ownership in the event of a dildo. We have to use the indefinite article, "a dildo", never ... your dildo.

Meanwhile, premium boarding for those without roller bags.  Unless you do have a roller bag and gate checked it prior to boarding for no fee.  As opposed to curb/counter checking it for a fee.  And now I've gone cross-eyed.
