Police arrested the driver, 22-year-old Katherine A York of Kennewick, at the scene.
That had to be an alias or something. Girls with names like Katherine York don't steal cars.

Been done by Hollywood.  1978's Corvette Summer, kid went to find the stolen vette that he built in hs auto shop.  He took a drive through job in order to spot the car and it worked.

Since when did McDonald's start paying enough for their employees to afford cars?

Half of them can afford cars with some help.  It is surprising though that the car was considered nice enough to steal.  Must've been a present from daddy.

Most cars are stolen to be scrapped for parts.  Much harder to trace that way, and the sweet spot for that is older popular cars.  TFA says 1995 4 runner.  Not much of a daddy gift if it was one.  Not sure why it didn't go straight to the shop.  Probably something that a fast food worker could afford, especially if she has a partner.

For me, the choice between listening to good music and listening to screaming babies is easy.

My buddy has a busted up acura and he got it stolen.  They found it a couple weeks later. Stereo ripped out and such, but otherwise ok.

FTFA:
Police arrested the driver, 22-year-old Katherine A York of Kennewick, at the scene. A male was riding passenger, but was found to not be involved with the incident.

York is being charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and could be facing additional charges after Police found a large amount of clothing in the vehicle that still had the security tags on them.

1% of the people cause 99.9% of society's problems. Katherine A York is a good example of a cancer that needs to be excised from society.

When are we going to stop with the whole 23rd-slap-on-the-wrist mentality?

Parasites should be extinguished.

Long ago, someone broke into my roommate's car and stole the stereo.  Saved my roommate the trouble of pulling out the broken stereo.  Even left the wiring harness behind.  The brilliant thief didn't bother taking the cell phone and expensive sunglasses that were sitting on the passenger seat.

Nobody who went to a McDonalds after stealing a car is going to part it out. If it's going to a chop shop, it's going straight there, not tooling around town.

Good attempt overall, nice form, unfortunate use of hyperbole though. Nobody's going to buy the idea that someone thinks shoplifting and auto theft should be capital crimes.
Nice try for a troll, but failed in execution, 4.5/10

I heard screaming. I'm eating my McDonald's. I'm inside my car. I see this girl going nuts, trying to get me out of my car. I'm at the drive through and she says, "get out, that's my car for a long time." So I figured it was a work dispute, so I open the door and we can't get in that way cause how the door is, it's so much that a body can't fit through there, only your hand. So we kicked in the bottom. So she comes out and she says, "Call 911, my name is Amanda Berry, and you stole my car."

The Pacific Northwest has a unique subculture of white, uneducated young people who are continuously strung out on meth and continually commit property crimes to support their habit.  They are not known for their intelligence.

When I lived in Kodiak, Alaska, every once in a while a car would be stolen. It takes a special kind of stupid to steal a car on an island where the only two ways to get a vehicle off the island are by ferry and cargo ship.
