So someone who was allegedly raped wants to sue instead of going to the police? I'm guessing she's just pissed that she wasn't knocked up that night.

What carnifex said, plus why wait 2 years if she found out right away that she was raped?

Maybe she was waiting for him to sign a bigger contract? He might have still been on a rookie deal back then.

Mike_LowELL: NBA Star Nick Young

what

I thought the same thing.  Just because you are in the NBA doesn't make you an NBA star.  Yes, he is a star compared to an average player but things are relative.  In the NBA, he is most definitely NOT a star.

Is there an actual working test for ghb? tech may have advanced by it was never in the rape tests we used to do.

It is important still to used alleged in all these cases, I know it is sacrilege to suggest a woman may make this stuff up but there are some evil manipulative people with personal agendas and goals that know how to use societal perceptions and a lack of innocent until proven guilty in men v women cases, See Brian Banks, and in my family had a cousin do 2 years till chick admitted she lied,

This guy may be a raping scum bag but innocent until proven guilty, and if it is just a civil case, sounds like legal extortion, settlements are easier then the bad PR and potential loss of larger amounts of money in civil trials that have a lower burden of proof.

I'm not saying this woman wasn't raped, but actual GHB is extremely rare and hard to acquire. You have to be connected to some serious underground shiat to get your hands on it. Unlike coke, there's no victimless recreational use of it, and, believe it or not, even most drug dealers will look at you like you're a POS scumbag if you bring it up. But "roofie" has so much pop culture awareness that it gets dropped all the time. I used to be a res hall director at a university. I heard the accusation at least four or five times a year, and every single time, literally 100% of the time, it ended up being an overconsumption of alcohol that led to incapacitation. People like to say they were "roofied" because it removes any responsibility from them to be aware of their alcohol tolerance and not outdrink what they can handle. Of course, no one deserves to be raped, but everyone can take steps to mitigate their risk. This argument emphatically does not blame the victim, and emphatically does reduce the instances of rapes when put into practice.

Unless he prefers the dominance game of raping someone who says no.

What's that stuff the group of gang rapers were using a long time ago?  It was a powder they blow in the faces of women that instantly knocked them out.  Then they spend the rest of the night gang raping them.  They raped tons of women until they finally got one that was on a special diet which reduced the effectiveness and she kept waking up during the multiple rape sessions and remembered enough to report to the cops.

Funny article about Young, who calls himself Swagy P. Now he can call himself Rapey B. Whether the B stands for butt or brick I don't know.

NBA Sh*t List: Nick Young, who is the devil Link

Nick Young is a player to whom accrues, like an umber bacterial film to the inside of a toilet bowl, the most popular of all lazy knee-jerk complaints from cursory observers of the NBA: He's not even playing hard! Generally speaking, in discussion of professional basketball, barking about the players' lack of effort is shorthand: What it really means is, "I don't watch NBA games," or, worse, "I listen to a lot of Colin Cowherd." It's a common refrain from the College Basketball Is Like Way The Best! crowd, which is to say, people who do not watch college basketball, either, but who enjoy filling out an NCAA tournament bracket every spring and drinking beer while amateurs wave their arms a lot and make 21 percent of their field goal attempts on a neglected television in the background.

There is this douche in Orlando who owns many clubs and has a lot of money. He is notorious for raping girls who would be served underage and then he would have his bouncers take them to his house and he would rape them.

I have a friend who is pretty traumatized by it and has moments where he will pop up in her linkedin or something and freak out. It's been four years and I wonder if she could even do anything. This story reminded me of this.

I'm sure if an NBA player was being investigated for rape we would have heard about it. When guys that play 5 minutes a game get traffic tickets you hear about it.

That brings me to another point. Aren't hospitals required by law to call the cops if they suspect rape? So if what she says in her claim that the hospital test confirmed that she was drugged and raped, they would have called the police and a report would have been made out right there, which would be in her lawsuit.

Have you read the complaint for her lawsuit? Me neither. It may well be in there.

What a dumbass, why didn't he just use the legal date rape drug, alcohol?  Sure it takes a little longer and they may have a little better memory after, but its much more acceptable.

There is a thriving recreational using GHB ("G") community. It is not rare.

It is however a messed up drug. And overdosing by 2-3 ml puts you out, unrouseable, for hours ("G-ing out"). When mixed with alcohol even small doses will have the same effect.

Don't do G kids.

Yes we do. That's the plan. I thought we went over this at the last 2 meetings.

Anyways, I highly doubt this is true. Even if you aren't rich or a professional athlete, the fact is being tall, in that kind of shape,  and not hideous in the face should make for an easy time getting laid. Being rich and on TV lot is just overkill.

Then again, I don't know the guy. He could be a complete scumbag that is wasting the hand life dealt him.
