2013-05-14 02:57:44 PM
This is just fantastic!

She dresses her kid up as dead people?  WTH?

2013-05-14 03:12:33 PM
Well it couldn't very well be a self portrait could it.

2013-05-14 03:15:51 PM
If she's deaf and blind, how does she take photographs?  Let alone pilot an airplane.

2013-05-14 03:16:15 PM
Those poor women, taken away to the death camps...

2013-05-14 03:18:09 PM
I'd be more impressed with the Earhart pic if she had been trapped in a Briori stasis chamber.

Even if she wasn't deaf or blind, how'd she fit the plane in that attic with her?

Meh. Sometimes people dress their kids up and take photos of them.

Cute kid, btw.

2013-05-14 03:22:51 PM
If you want a doll to dress up and play with, get a farking doll.

Great idea and well done photos.

Not sure if the kid is old enough to truly get the message but, then again, I'm not a parent.

As female role models, because f--k Disney Princesses.  rtfa blah blah blah.  There was a better writeup of it somewhere I read yesterday, but damn if I can remember where.

You can be fashionable and still be a role model btw:

Granted, sans cigarette, I *suppose*, but the woman built a fashion empire from the bare ground up.  Artistically and business savvy as well as incredibly influential, so, props.

The twist is that she dressed like a concentration camp victim and in another photo like a Nazi agent.

50% of that sentence is accurate.

I'm not seeing it.

You'd be surprised.  Kids get more than we give them credit for.  Especially if you hit them over the head with it, the way this parent did.

It's ironic that someone with the last name of Earhart would be deaf!

no Martin Van Buren?

Earhart wasn't that good of a pilot.  It was mostly hype from her magnate-hubby.

She didn't fly the seaplane to Ireland.  She was a passenger.

She destroyed her Lockheed Electra in an improper overloaded takeoff on a hot day where she ground-looped it.

She died because she couldn't properly tune her radio to recieve.

I think this is very cool, and a nice reminder to girls that they can contribute to society in ways that don't involve being pretty and waiting for boys to rescue you.

I think this is a great thing. I have a young niece and I'm working hard to be a positive influence in her life. She's surrounded by aunts and cousins telling her how pretty she is and how cute her outfits are. There's nothing wrong with that, but I want her to know she offers more to the world than just her looks and her clothes. Unfortunately I'm up against some stiff competition.

On the other hand, sometimes a person is so dumb that being pretty or cute is pretty much the only thing they have going for them.

/Nice girl, but about as sharp as a sack of wet mice.

Coco Chanel (sans cigarette, of course).

WTF?

Lazy I understand.  Sitting on your butt doing nothing I understand.  But doing all the hard work, going most of the way, and then giving up just short of complete, I will never understand.

I'm not saying light the cigarette, just having one touch her lips isn't going to kill her.
