Tarl3k: How many times does the Internet have to fall for a doctored photo before we smarten up?

Is it doctored?  Serious question.  I figured it was just a coincidence.

2013-05-14 01:44:02 PM
Or it could be a distant forgotten about relative. Or is that to simple of an explanation?

2013-05-14 01:44:31 PM
If it's not doctored, is it possible that it's just an unknown or unrecognized family member of Jay Z? I mean he is from Brooklyn.

Hell my great-great uncle looked identical to my brother when they were both 14-15. It was pretty freaky when I found that old picture.

I'm just wondering how painful we can make the beating on the admin who insists on auto-play videos on IBT's site.

Burn in a slow cooking hell.

So how does one actually go about joining the illuminati? Do you get born into it? Get someone to vouch for you? Pay $5 a month? Inquiring minds

Came for this

/and yes, I have a hard time telling the difference sometimes

2013-05-14 01:57:34 PM
I came here expecting to see a "they all look alike" comment.

I don't get why people make such a big deal about these kind of photos. It's so ridiculous that people actually think it's Jay-Z in 1939. Or Nic Cage in 18whatever. What is wrong with people? I understand people being confused in the the early days of photography when they didn't realize how that photos could be altered or that people what intentionally fool them. Example: see the Cottingley Fairies on the wiki.

Those that think Nicolas Cage or John Travola or Jay-Z are actually vampires or time travellers or clones or whatever need to be removed from the general population and not allowed to breed.

FTA: The New York Public Library's prestigious Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture has confirmed the photograph's authenticity and said that it was taken by an American photographer named Sid Grossman in 1939.

Not every photo that's interesting has been doctored.

I'm so happy that the Illuminati conspiracies are moving beyond rich white folks and are targeting rich black folks.

Progress!

I'm sure that's exactly what you want us to believe.

The man in the photo looks as much like Jay-Z as the guy in the "Whoomp, There It Is" video does like President Obama.

Which is to say, vaguely.

You know, for a secret cabal that rules everything in the world through secret and nefarious means, the illuminati has a problem keeping their secrets hidden from internet crackpots.

Foxxinnia: THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY THAT TWO PEOPLE HAVE LOOKED SIMILAR. WAKE UP SHEEPLE!

Yeah... this. If the people had cameras back when the earth was created 6000 years ago, I am sure we would have a pic of a dude looking like Jay-Z riding a dinosaur by now. Or a woman looking like Al Pacino hanging out with baby jesus.

It would certainly explain his hilariously overrated skills and perhaps why he married a dumb fat stripper who dances the noon show.

Some people even think black people are all related, too.

"Because earlier you were implying that I was racist because you thought that I was implying that all black people are related. And then it turns out that you people actually are!"

"According to the Inquisitr, the most probable among these theories it that the rapper and business mogul traveled back in time to 1939, perhaps to conduct some informal research for the songs he recently contributed for 'The Great Gatsby' soundtrack. "

That's the MOST probable theory?

"It's a guy from 1939 who just happens to look like Jay-Z" isn't even on the list?

Not really. He died in WWI if I remember correctly. If that is the wrong great-great uncle, then he still died before my mom was born.

You confusing him with someone else or are you implying Beyonce is fat? I'm not a fan of her music but I wouldn't call her a dumb fat stripper...

There are only so many different combinations of eyes, nose, mouth, ears, etc.  With 6 billion people on this earth, there are probably a few people somewhere who look eerily similar to you.

All I want to know is when it became okay to call Black people jigga in journalistic articles.
