Me

That's dumb.  Your job doesn't involve being hit by really large men 40-something weeks out of the year.

You are right, my chosen profession does not require being hit by large men.

But no one is going pay hundreds or even thousands of dollars (for a Super Bowl) for a ticket to watch you change the syrup in the Slurpee machine either.

The NFL needs to take care of their players long-term, or watch the supply of talent diminish, starting at the Pee-Wee level and then up through college.  Football is increasingly being shown to severely decrease participants' life expectancy and their quality of life in retirement.  That, coupled with what medical science is discovering regarding decreased cognitive abilities resulting from head injuries, could mean the end of professional football as we know it.

My son played high school football.  Had I known what I do now, I wouldn't have encouraged him...or even allowed him.  Parents are increasingly coming to the same conclusion.

You're dumb. No one forces these guys to play ball. They do it on their own free will then call foul after the fact.

Let's get real here - we're not talking coal miners, we're talking NFL players. They're (ahem) college educated adults that can get jobs at UPS if they really wish to avoid this.
