They were called Buffalo over 100 years before they were called Bison. If you are going to insult others for being illiterate you might want to make certain you have read about the point you are trying to make.

This is like complaining about people calling insects bugs when there are multiple insects with bug as part of their name.


In fact, there is an entire class of insects that are the "true bugs."

They were called Buffalo because they were confused 100 years ago.

Its Bison, dammit.


I didn't say they called them that just 100 years ago, I said they called them Buffalo OVER 100 years BEFORE they were called Bison. As in they were called Buffalo at least as early as 1635 and they weren't called Bison until 1774.

You have waited nearly 4 centuries too long to complain about the name. Give it up.
