I guess Sergio really hasn't changed from his pompous, douchebag ways.  Stay classy, spoiled brat.

Never understood this about golf and tennis. They have to have perfect silence when they play or they biatch and moan. Baseball and basketball players perform with thousands of screaming fans and flash bulbs going off without complaint, why can't they

Line the gallery with NFL players on vacation and give the golfer on the tee-box a five-second drop rule.  If the ball isn't hit five seconds after it is dropped, then the player is.

Oh look. It's the asshole who dumps in a sports thread that has jack shiat to do with hockey, yet comes in spewing bullshiat because he is insecure in his sports allegiances.

FWIW, I am a hockey fan, but today's finishing holes were awesome and the presence/lack of hockey had absolutely nothing to do with it.

So do I, but crowds have gotten progressively worse at golf events.  When i started going in the 80's, if anyone was lining up for a shot it was dead silent.  Even if someone did something cool, like sink a ball from 100 yards, the clapping was muted.  Cheering was unheard of at the time.

Now you have jabronis wandering around chattering on cell phones, cheering for club selection, and in general being disrespectful pricks.  It's not quite as bad as the Happy Gilmore crowd, but it's heading in that direction.

But why?  Tiger is without question the greatest golfer of all time.  He isn't even playing his best and he already has four wins this year.  Tiger is why golf isn't practically irrelevant in this country.  The PGA tours and all of its players should be thanking that guy and kissing his shoes daily.

Oh but he cheated on his wife...what a terrible person.

I couldn't give two shiats about who professional athletes fark.  Whether they are married or not.  It's so very much none of my business.

I am not assuming you don't like him because of the affairs though.  You may have other reasons.  Is it because he is Asian?

Tiger now seems like he's a real douche on a personal level. Then again a lot of golfers do and they didn't have to wreck their car in their driveway and have their personal lives put on display for all to examine to do it

Sort of disappointed by the lack of Tin Cup references.  Right before he plooped the second one in the water on 17 I texted my dad asking if we were about to go all Jean van de Velde--sure enough, Sergio obliges me.

I said in my head Tin Cup?  I read his lips, he said 'give me another ball'

I remember a few years back, one of the British TV announcers saying after some yahoo yelled just that, "There's always at least one idiot in every crowd".

Very refreshing.

Ha! Thanks for linking that.

I'm not a golf-watching fan, it would never occur to me there are jerk moves like that in a "Gentlemen's game."
