I can probably pull that together for next week.

Lorelle: Bathia_Mapes: soosh: I spent a long time researching all the music the Blues Brothers pulled from. Someday I'd like to do a whole show of the originals of all the stuff they covered.

That would be awesome

Heh. Great minds think alike!

:-D

soosh: Lorelle: I've heard it before, but I heard the BB version first. Quite popular back in 1979. :)

If I ever go full hipster I am going to install an 8-track player in my car and roll around blasting The Very Best of Sam & Dave all damn day.

professorkowalski: Just play some Cab Calloway

Hmmmm...maybe play Minnie the Moocher as the finale....? That could work.

Warky: soosh: Lorelle: The original Rubber Biscuit?

yep, this is The Chips.  This is the only 45 they recorded.  I'm not sure what the other side was.  1956.

The B side to that was a tune called "Oh, My Darling."  It wasn't a hit.

Thank you!  I'll have to find it.

I had some, if not all, of that on my drive that died. Wasn't all the best quality.

I think I may still have the iTunes playlist though, since my player is on a seperate drive.

msupf:

for poops and giggles I hooked up the drive to see what would happen.
Bios popped up with a warning that the drive had an imminent failure coming up and I should disconnect it. That's a first.

Wish I could look at it. Hopefully, you can grab the data off it... somehow. good luck

Heh! I try.

He's not really a "child" anymore since he's 32 (33 this summer), but he was raised listening to The Beatles, Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, etc. He's also a huge nerd, just like his momma.
