I love your weather reports  :)

2013-05-12 02:17:01 AM
I love the weather in Alaska. It could be twelve feet of snow and it is better than Florida.

Rain, rain, rain, probably rain.... I think Alaska is in Ireland.

2013-05-12 02:17:07 AM
Yay the weather, it's gonna rain.

Remember rocking John Henry on 97.5 KMOD on Sunday night? Your sat night show has replaced his show after he died.

oh, yeah, I grew up on KMOD.

my dad lives in OKC, my mom and brother live in Plano now.

my music storage drive just went poof this week, I may have to abuse the heck out of this later.

Sorry to hear that. This is a great way to get it back in the right direction.

yeah, I'm hoping some friends that work in a tech help desk for a local law school can help me pull something off that drive. Lots of rare covers and bootlegs on that thing. I can get the compy to occassionally start up with it connected, but even then it won't stay stable. It has the click of death though. Ah well. Should have replaced the backup drive sooner (that died the month before)

She never knows what to do when something I'm involved with something cool.  I'm not supposed to rate "cool".

Ok. This works. It's too new and too produced, but it works.

I grew up on KMOD too. I still remember setting my alarm when I was about ten years old at midnight to turn the cassette over to keep recording ol John Henry! Thanks friend! Some of the obscure sublime is great but a clip of great old blues and a shout out to John Henry would make our night here in Tulsa!

for poops and giggles I hooked up the drive to see what would happen.
Bios popped up with a warning that the drive had an imminent failure coming up and I should disconnect it. That's a first.

I spent a long time researching all the music the Blues Brothers pulled from.  Someday I'd like to do a whole show of the originals of all the stuff they covered.

The B side to that was a tune called "Oh, My Darling."  It wasn't a hit.
