MadAzza: It's a staple to eat tako (octopus) where I live, and I live in the U.S. Too bad people here are idiots who eat intelligent animals like octopus
tinfoil-hat maggie: Opps wrong thread.
Apos: I've noshed on winged ants, crickets and the occasional grasshopper, but I've never tried cicadas. I'll have to rectify that immediately.
It's summer! And time for the broodTo serve as quite plentiful foodJust round up a bunch,Then joyfully munch-That's what I call "mmm, mmm good"!
tinfoil-hat maggie: Hell ya a fascist theocracy, crossfire is of the air but we have lots of people now trying to enforce one.
RIP, Madonna Cicada
Tabletop: I DNRTFA, but the cicada expert on NPR said there was some evidence that cicadas are mercury accumulators, like tuna. A little googling turned up http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2004/05/040531214618.htm, I don't know how reliable a source science daily is, and I DNRTFA either.
