Pathetic. Horrible casting. Was Peter Dinklage not available? Paul is only about 2 feet taller than him....but less intimidating.

That's not The Rhino

/that's Curly on a bad day
//give him some cheese

Something tells me that rhino will be mostly CGI and giamatti will do more voiceover work than onscreen acting

Giamatti is a fantastic actor and I really doubt this is anything close to how the Rhino will look.

Looks more like a skinhead with terminal constipation than the Rhino.

So... Giamatti as Rhino and Jamie Foxx as Electro.

They're really doing everything they possibly can to ensure that this movie will suck, right?

turns out in the movie the "rhino" is just a bus he drives around

In general, the urge to add more than a single villain to the second superhero film in a series leads to crappier films in said series.

Most of these movies have just annoyed me, I mean they are comic books but with all the available people and cgi they could do better casting 1.bp.blogspot.comi.annihil.us

And this one could have THREE. Did they learn nothing from "Spider-man 3"?

And sadly, it will still turn a profit and they'll keep crapping these out. I hope the Sony lawyer who negotiated this perpetual deal got a raise out of it. And feels bad about it.

Anyone who liked that movie is dead to me.

It's that time of day again, kiddies. A movie thread on Fark, which can only mean one thing: "It sucks!"

Upcoming movie? It sucks.

Recently released? It sucks.

Good reviews? The reviewers suck.*

Old classic film? They all suck.*

Stay tuned to see more angry, uncreative people lament everything in the world until they show up opening night to buy a ticket with Cheetos-stained fingers, then return to their Internet hideouts to bash whatever it is they've seen in a pathetically transparent attempt at being cool.

*Vice-versa applies if the film or product in question has received either poor reviews or is poorly regarded by the populace in general. A desperate attempt at contrarianism will be attempted in these scenarios, also in an effort at appearing cool. Those who disagree will be labeled "not relevant."

It hardly matters.  They're only making these movies so that they can cling to the movie rights a while longer.  Because, fark you, Marvel Studios.

Giamatti was great in "Shoot 'Em Up" as the bad guy. I think he'll be fine. That being said, I only lasted about 40 minutes through the first Spider-Man reboot and thought it was sort of meh in all aspects. I won't be watching the sequel.

Yeah. While there were some things I liked about it (physical web-shooters), I thought the first Spider-Man with Toby Maguire was far superior).

Giamatti is a good actor, no doubt about it.  He was also good in The Illusionist.

But this movie is going to be crap-flavored crap and I'm not up for throwing my money and/or time away watching a pointless remake that's milking the audience's appreciation of the original trilogy.
