some_beer_drinker: too bad, great show.

Was it really?  I watched it when it premiered on NBC or wherever and it looked like just another melodramatic cop show.  I never got into it after it moved.

Noooooooooooooo!

With....Southland cancelled, the only TNT series awaiting its fate is Monday Mornings which is not expect-

Probably my favorite show on tv...sad to see it go.

Man, NBC even cancelled shows that's not even on the network?

Don't worry. It may be gone, but it will show up for the next 20 years as reruns. I keep finding series which ended in the 70's -- and, naturally, they never run them in order.

If anyone can explain to me the logic of running reruns out of sequence I'd be happy to hear it.

They know grandma doesn't remember which Matlock episode was on yesterday.

Not a surprise. All the lead actors except Hatosy have had other gigs lined up for a few months now.

I didn't watch it either, but apparently after the move to TNT they had to jettison a lot of the cast and tighten it up. Apparently that changed things for the better.

Too bad. TNT did a better job with it than NBC. Not great, but certainly better.

fark! Everytime I get into a good show...

Oh well, still have season 5 to watch

This show ended on top, the last two episodes were seriously the hardest hours of tv I can remember watching.  Chaos (second to last) was gripping beyond anything I could imagine and was based on the true story.  They ended with a cliff hanger that will leave me wondering for the rest of my life.

And Two and a Half Men is still on...
No farking justice.

That's ok, they picked up Legends which will bring Ali Larter back to TV. She may not be the best actress, but she's not bad to look at either.

Rizzoli and Isles is still on though.  Mmmm...Angie Harmon

Southland cancelled. Fringe ended. Breaking Bad, Dexter, Burn Notice all ending this season.
Veronica Mars movie. Return of 24 being heavily talked about.

No kidding. At the end of the season (now series) finale, I gave an audible NO!!! when *that* happened. I will miss the show a lot; made my Wednesday nights. Dammit.

/no spoiler because previous Farker mentioned not having seen season 5

Southland was some of the best raw gritty drama on TV. And I don't think many TV characters come anywhere close to how well the characters were written in this series. Can't say I didn't see this coming tho. I'm going to miss it, there's no cop drama on TV that comes anywhere near as good as Southland. Someone told me there was still... "Blue Bloods". HaHahahahahahahahaha

ontariolightning: Burn Notice all ending this season

That needed to end a couple of seasons ago, the super secret conspiracy of the week shiat is getting old.

I loved the show when it was NBC. Lost track aftee it moved to TNT. The problem was, there was no way for me to catch up on missing episodes, so I never bothered watching current episodes.

If they had Netflix'd it, or Hulu, it would've had a much larger fan base now. A shame.

Great, great show.  One of the few I would watch the night it aired.
Not quite on the level of The Wire, but character development was absolutely top notch, and the writers captured the many facets of LA better than any show before it.

TNT shows are never on Netflix or Hulu. I don't have cable, but I remember watching season 1 of Southland and enjoying it enough to waste an hour a week on it. Too bad people without cable can't see TNT shows. They're catering to a disappearing demographic, people with cable instead of people who watch tv online.

I can't say I'm not gonna miss it, but total agreement here. He's been burned and unburned so many times in the last couple seasons it's a wonder the CIA doesn't have him on some kind of permanent "do not rehire" list. Now with this latest go-around, he's managed to alienate himself from the one person he really cares about and possibly everyone else, too.

Either off him already or give him the happy ending already.

Amen. Going out with one cop getting anally intruded by some tweakers and another cop committing suicide by cop was farking hardcore.

Now that's entertainment!

Can't say I watched past the first episode but I'll always remember it as the show where they couldn't properly aim the camera because it's "exciting", and they'd have the actors curse and then bleep the cursing.

Really bummed about this. The last two episodes were amazing. What a great show.

WHAT?!?!?

It is the only cop show I watched. It made me cry on multiple occasions....not a little tear but boogery nose, tears flowing. It hit too close to home sometimes, playing with my legit fears, professionally and personally (my ex is a cop).

I'm really bummed.

2013-05-11 09:57:51 PM
Wow, I remember seeing the ads promoting it when it debuted on NBC during Heroes...

Yes, I watched Heroes after its first year (hangs head). I still feel ripped off.

As long as they don't touch my Justified. I could give a fark about any other cop show.

Do they expect their viewers to voluntarily watch 'Boston's Finest'? Because that show is the suck.

I'm righteously pissed that Hulu stopped carrying Justified after like two seasons.  I don't own a TV, so that was my only way to watch it.

I've heard that there are ways to -ahem- access such shows via streaming online.

Also, I think I bought season one on Amazon. Perhaps they have all the seasons?

It was on TNT.TV, if you could stand the 4 minutes of repeating ads every 5 minutes. I never wanted to see it that badly.

/CBS is getting bad too re: ads.
