You're so interesting and unique.

Let's see:

PHYSICALLY: The risk of getting a disease like Hepatitis from a tattoo artist that is not careful about sterilizing his/her equipment, the pain involved in getting one, the bleeding afterward
That's why you go to a reputable artist. They sterilize and use new needles for all customers. They really don't hurt much. They also don't bleed much at all. Maybe a little while it is being done, and it is stopped before they wash it down and put on a bandage.

MENTALLY: Why would anyone think they need a tattoo to make themselves "better"? Also, if you get a tattoo because you think it's "cool" then you're applying the standards of the world.
What's wrong with "I like this and think it looks nice on me?" Seems to be what most people I know use as their reasoning. That's why I have all of mine.

SOCIALLY: People who have tattoos are often looked down upon as rednecks or low-lifes simply because they have tattoos, and people who have visible tattoos often get passed over for jobs by people who believe tattoos present an unprofessional appearance

some of those I like-the peter pan and where the sidewalk ends-some of those weren't to my tastes, but I think the person with the Catcher in the Rye tattoo missed the point of that book.

I'm at Disney World right now. I have seen at least six girls (yes, girls) that could not be more than 18 or 19 years old COVERED in individuality. Five of them had identical individual Tinkerbells on their chests that have to be at least eight inches across. Individually. The sixth had a different individual Tink. I really don't care about tattoos either way but the idea that these girls will be happy with all the ink in five years when they are young women is unlikely. What's even more unlikely is Disney suing them for trademark infringement and demanding the skin be removed. Not that that would not be cool to watch.

I would love to see a person that has undergone a sex change operation with a tattoo of the Monty Python quote "And now for something completely different..."

Bonus points toward humor if they put it somewhere on their waistline.

That was an awful lot of brand new tattoos...

How about we see how those fancy little scripts and minute details look in about 5 years?

...and if I ever get a tat, it will be this:

Until it was recently finished that was my schedule too as it seemed to go with the release of the new books. Good series but so much info you had to refresh to remember all the little details and all the new people you met in the last book. Liked the end but I am so glad it's over.

Marin better hurry before he pulls a Jordan. If I go two series with that... I'll...read the book by the author found to finish the series.

Why is that said?

Judges 19 would make a great tatt.

22 Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.

23 And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, and said unto them, Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly; seeing that this man is come into mine house, do not this folly.

24 Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing.

25 But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go.
