So, my theory of Geoff Johns approving comics based on what he masturbated over in his younger days really is true?

/sad to see Keith Giffen tied up in this.

Orko vs. Dr. Fate or Dr. Strange are the only mashups that would go anywhere interesting. Although a love affair between Krypto and Cringer might be kinda hilarious.

Why is He-Man wearing so much armor? Isn't his whole thing an X-strap across his chest and what is essentially a loin cloth?

They did this before vehemently he-man wax relevant.

kill orko on the second page. strike that. orko and madam razz do the nasty and create a creature so irritating the most intelligent creatures in the universe create a suicide device. the universe is destroyed except for the orkorazz baby who becomes the all powerful being after the next big bang.

I think that comic was made just to set up the joke where both Beast and Bones react when someone asks for a Dr. McCoy.

There are so many worse jokes they could set up for, in all honesty.

I never did understand why Superman was so damn ripped. Its not like he gets his powers from working out. Hell he could be a skinny little nerd and still throw locomotives around couldn't he?

Well, people are biatching about the variants we've been pumping out for the last twenty years... Time to do something new. Hmm, how about some more unrequested mash ups like Dark Horse and keep doing variants? Damn, that's some innovative thinking.

If they are going to do cross overs like this it should be a cross over between Coley Running Wild and X-Men.

Ugh, what a failure. Played the open beta for a weekend and man did they miss the mark. I'm not totally against dungeon crawlers, but the Marvel universe is not the IP to fit into that mold. If I want to play as Spider-man, I want to web swing across New York, not walk in the bloody streets. If I'm Iron Man, I want to fly. Don't lock me into dungeon crawling.

The worst part (for me) is walking around the streets and seeing 19 Incredible Hulks and 27 Deadpools and 11 Black Widows. The appeal of Super Heroes is that they are uniquely gifted. DCUO let you play as a Super Hero you picked alongside those iconic heroes - but if there were a dozen Batmen and a dozen Supermen that game would have sucked too.

Since there's already a precedent for this (the first 2 MOTU comics were a crossovers with Superman), I'm not too surprised. However, the recent miniseries was pretty hit-and-miss and I still can't figure out what the fark the deal is with the ridiculous and wholly unnecessary redesigns. I think the popularity of the Masters of the Universe Classics figures would tell them that the original designs are the ones people like. Hell, fans have been very clear for the last almost year that they hate the new designs and want them to return to the originals. It all makes me conflicted. I'm a huge DC and Masters of the Universe fanatic, so this should be right up my alley. However, the terrible, sometimes unrecognizable, charater designs and incredibly iffy storytelling on the MOTU books up until now (don't even get me started on Nu52) kind of kills any excitement I might have had.

Isn't Superman weak against magic?  Or did they get rid of that with the new 52?

He-Man is a cheap ripoff of Ka-Zar and Hercules. I always found Masters of the Universe to be a cheap, silly cartoon that existed for the sole purpose of selling toys.

But hey... Nostalgia makes people like weird things. I just found an Android version of Milton-Bradley's Dark Tower game, and I'm having a ball with it, cheesy sounds and all.

He-Man gets his strength from magic, which tends to be a blind spot for Superman. The Man of Steel might be stronger, but I think he'd feel every punch from He-Man like he'd been b*tch-slapped by Darkseid.

Also, who the f**k redesigned He-Man, anyway?!

Technically, you aren't wrong.  The nerd's creating it were just paid like professionals.
