Every time I see one of those ads, I want to take a golf club to my TV

Keep the commercials coming then, AT&T! Because we want more! We want more! We like it, so we want more!

My brother pointed out to me that the guy's body is totally out of proportion. Look at his tiny legs under the table. Once you see it, it makes these commercials even more hideous.

2013-05-11 10:06:52 AM
I dunno but they're always on during NASCAR right along side those boner pill ads

2013-05-11 10:42:33 AM
They're not.  At all.  If you were Beck Bennett, and you were getting famous for those ads because they're so "real" and "unscripted", would you EVER admit they weren't?

2013-05-11 10:52:54 AM
The little girl that says she'd fire the robot is pretty funny, but I don't care for the rest.

2013-05-11 10:56:12 AM
Even if they're unscripted, they still doesn't make up for the fact that AT&T sucks balls.

Hey, look! It's a video where they talk about this exact thing. And they say they have scripts. Thanks E! for a story that I didn't need.

I chuckled at the "Tape a cheetah to her back", but the theme is getting old FAST.

I can't think of a single commercial with children in it that isn't annoying as fark.

I've noticed that the girl in the "two things are better than one" is mouthing her co-star's lines before she says hers.

2013-05-11 12:09:38 PM
The best commercial for my $$$ are the Snicker's "Because you turn into .... when you're hungry." And the Roseanne Barr one may be the best of those, though they're all good.

I like the commercials but ATT is not great. My monthly bill from them is $70 for 2GB, but my bill doesn't even include texting! I pay an additional 20 cents per ingoing or outgoing text. I'm going to switch to T-Mobile at the end of my contract. For $60 not only do they offer 2.5GB, unlimited text and talk, but the price include free tethering. ATT's data sharing plans are highway robbery.

I find these commercials entirely inoffensive and even somewhat amusing. But then, I have kids. I don't know anyone without kids that thinks they're funny.

That's very true. The cranium shrinkage that occurs when constantly exposed to little kids is enough to provide a protective shield for the brain that allows you to tolerate their inanity and compartmentalize it as "cuteness." The rest of us don't have that adaptation so we experience the raw, unfiltered annoyance, unfortunately.

I like the one about the werewolf that ends in "...W-What?"

The rest I can take or leave.

I'm so relieved I'm not the only one who would rather set myself on fire than watch these stupid commercials. It's to the point now that when they come on, I just turn the TV off and walk away.

No kids, love the commercials.

Really don't mind stuff with kids unless they are singing. There is little worse in this world than children singing.

2013-05-11 02:17:32 PM
It's basically AT&T saying: When it comes to choosing a mobile carrier, we believe our customers are not mentally capable of more analysis than that of a child saying "Durr more is better." It's kind of insulting.

Fark all ya'll.  They're funny commercials.  You just hate kids.  That's why you're single and alone and will die alone.

I don't see anyone else suggesting self-immolation as a reasonable alternative to sitting through a 30-second TV spot.

Just sayin'

Yes, that one made me laugh as well. It sounds like something a 5-7 year old might say and was delivered perfectly, so if it was scripted the little kid pulled it off perfectly.

/the "we want more we want more" girl is just annoying now
//probably because AT&T is playing that ad to death

2013-05-11 03:10:43 PM
I really liked the one were they had DR.J, Magic, Bird and Kareem in place of the kids.

Now if we can kill the Geico hipster musician ads and the talking investment baby, all of which have overstayed their welcome

OK, that's funny.

/"reality" shows are scripted, but we're supposed to believe the commercials aren't?

Talking to your 4 or 5 year old child is like talking to a schizophrenic on acid.  There's no filter, and even they don't know where they're going with it.  We are adopting a couple of fancy rats, and they are coming home tomorrow- so my daughter has been telling every stranger she meets that she's sleeping with rats (not sure where they came from, because they will be living in a cage downstairs).

That said, I'm not fond of those commercials, because I have enough of it at home.

2013-05-11 04:42:11 PM
What are these commercials you speak of?  Is that some sort of thing that exists on that TeeVee my grandparents sit in front of?

2013-05-11 05:33:57 PM
What about that commercial for wooping cough babies? Listening to some baby struggle to breath is sooooo annoying.

2013-05-11 06:13:57 PM
Huh, not that I give two farks if they're scripted or not, and when it's on TV I always assume it's scripted anyways..

but what always bugged me about the first one was when the kid is talking about being able to pat his head and rub his tummy at the same time, the girl next to him is mouthing his lines at the same time.. And then when she gets cut off saying she can do that too, she gives a pout like she was instructed to do it and immediately goes back to her smile.

Why not go look at some AT&T ads right now?

+1 , or Viagra commercials, Cialis, 50% cash back, Doug the face of mesothelioma. Of course now when I see another commercial about mesothelioma I get sad and wonder if Doug has left us.

Send more Dr. Pepper 10 commercials.

It's pretty simple. Record lots, throw away most. And we're talking about prompting kids, a little prompting goes a long improv distance.
