The President Of The United States doesn't take orders from trained circus monkeys?

When did that start happening?

I'm surprised Rodman hasn't been attacked by conservatives for giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

Well he's not now since he's attacking Obama.

A black guy attacking the president proves they're right, which means he's their friend!*

*offer of friendship immediately null and void upon saying something disagreeable.

Any chance we can get the North Koreans to keep him?

Maybe offer them new food/fuel aid?

Why is anyone paying attention to this turd on a stick anyway?

Rodman insisted at the end of his trip that the Supreme Leader is a "really awesome guy."

And this (as if we needed more reasons) is enough to ensure that it's safe to ignore anything this moron says.

Because he's criticizing Obama.  Therefore whatever he says is automatically right, especially since it's a black man slamming those people's messiah, and it's obviously a bad thing that Obama isn't personally negotiating with our enemies.

A lot of wisdom in this dumbass's remarks. First, he's unlikely to get Bae released. Second, he's in contact with Kim, not just trying to read the thoughts of the North Koreans through outdated intelligence and biased lenses. And finally, Obama hasn't been able to do shiat about the North Korean problem because he approaches foreign policy in a reactive way. Rather than reaching out and trying to build relationships and open dialogues, he's always one step behind trying to fix shiat after it happens.

Not that we should be using Rodman as some sort of fount of wisdom or anything, but if peace on the Korean peninsula is a goal, then starving the North Koreans into submission isn't furthering progress towards the goal. If stability on the Korean peninsula is the goal, then allowing the North Koreans to fall deeper into economic distress while its neighbors have healthy economies isn't bringing that goal any closer. Get out there and talk to them. End the war.

Yeah, awesome guys always threaten to nuke people who do things they don't like. It's like if you go to meet your new neighbor, and he chases you with an axe. It's really not fair that you judge him based on that.

North Korea rattles its chains every few years or so to extort money in order to maintain its dictatorship.  They've been doing this for several decades now with the son using his dad's playbook.   Dennis Rodman is a tool.

I get what you're both saying but with North Korea's wonky regime partisan politics are the last thing on my mind. It's the same with Bill Richardson, a democrat who I don't really have anything against, but he has had some astounding success dealing with that family dynasty, and well, that's just good. We need people who can BS and shoot hoops with the North Korean goofballs.

Just read an article about a BBC reporter at a NK soccer match. Sold out, but nobody makes a sounf, not even when a goal is scored. Players don't even high-five each other.

Would be fun to see Rodman play in Best Korea Basketball League.

For the last time:  Korean names are read, Surname, given name.  For example:  Kim Jong Un's last name is KIM.  His father's last name was KIM, and his grandfather's last name was KIM.  His name is not Mr. Un, It's Mr. Kim (or ASSHOLE, if you please).  So, if you want Rodman to talk about Jong Un or Kim Jong Un or whatever else you want to call him, at least get it right.

/still can't believe US news services refer to the ROK president as Ms. Hee.  PARK JEONG HEE 박정희 means her last name is PARK.  (Actually it is pronounced PAK, but Americans are too ignorant to understand that.
