The kid is 18. He's an adult. He dropped his pants in a high school to moon two girls. Adults who drop their pants to expose themselves usually get some kind of jail time for it. Life lesson.

Was it just a moon or the full goat?  Inquiring minds need to know.

Yeah, life lesson. After less than 1/3 of his life expectancy has been lived. Too bad suckah! Lol

I think it's good that everyone should have a felony on their record before they turn 20 these days....

Someone needs to get those two girls some counseling. And hurry, the damage has probably already been done. Their suffering must be unbearable.

Goddamn zero tolerance bullshiat.  If they couldn't see his junk it's not any kind of sexual assault/public indecency/whatever.

If that's what he does for fun, I think 1/3 is being a bit generous. He's not far from nabbing a Darwin award.

Only in the US is this a problem.

CSB time: I was walking down the street in Ghent last night and this one guy and his friends were walking around one of the squares pants down. Well, normally when a guy does this back stateside he covers up his equipment with his hand, but this guy was going fully exposed. It wasn't some late-night hijinks either. This happened around 9:00 in the evening and there were actually families out walking. What I thought was hilarious was that this one family was walking past the guy no more than 15 feet or so away and the daughter (maybe about 10 or 11) was staring straight at the guy's "piet." I mean - straight on eye contact. Her parents weren't freaking out or trying to cover their precious little girl's eyes. They were laughing about the whole thing. While these guys were being really drunk and obnoxious, it's not like they posed any kind of threat of sexual violence against anyone.

The more people admit that America is basically a disgusting lie, a farce, and not a bastion of freedom, the better.

I was guessing in this order:

1. California
2. Massachusetts
3. New York

Bzzzzzt me! It was Pennsylvania.

This reminds me of the time I was riding my bike, and 4 High school girls decided to take their picture of their bare asses in front of a brand new store before it opened.  I was 30 at the time, and was thinking they can take a picture, but I can't.  In fact, it would be illegal for me to even HAVE a picture like that

My mind was sure working like a camera shutter

pedophile laws are rather unfair, if they are willing to expose themselves on their own free will for free, it shouldn't be a crime

Check the browser history on the girls phones and computers, if there's anything as bad or worse than what this kid did, he gets a pass. For that matter, they see worse on TV and at the theater, but go ahead and wreck this kids life you farking morans.

No, I can't recall ever being allowed to moon 13 year old girls when I was 18 with no repercussions  nor do I remember ever wanting to.

Indecent exposure involves genitals and sexual gratification. This had neither.

Well, I DO remember an 8th grade kid doing this to a few of the neighborhood girls.

In doing so, he also presented one girl in tap shoes with a very inviting target.

I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at someone with a shattered testicle in my life.

Florida is not the nanny state at all in which this article exhibits. Florida is the crazy and stupid state, much like my own state of Texas often is! I know crazy and stupid vs. nanny.

Im thinking if you are too young to drink you are too young to have harmless pranks treated as criminal activity.  It makes no sense to say he is too young to handle himself, then argue that he is old enough to handle himself.

"We have pictures of you so-called mooners. And just because the pictures aren't of your faces doesn't mean we can't identify you. At this very moment those pictures are on their way to Washington where the FBI has experts in this type of identification. If you turn yourselves in now, you may escape a Federal charge. "

I remember when I walked past an old-school strip club in Bourbon street a couple decades ago. The door had been left open by a patron and a cute redhead humping a pool table buck-naked made eye contact with me. Best day a 12-yr-old ever had.

This.  He's a dumb kid, but this calls for a smack on the wrist; any possibility of jail time is WAY overboard.

And I'd be VERY surprised if there's any 8th graders today that haven't seen internet porn...not that I'm saying it's ok to wave your junk at them, of course.

You and subby are morons. 18 is easily old enough to know this sort of behavior is unacceptable and can get you arrrested. I knew this shiat when I was 12 FFS.

I was trying to emphasize the concept of "overkill." You know, like, "give him what he deserves, AND THEN FAR, FAR MORE THAN WHAT IS NECESSARY!!!" Like that.

Just another Heartland Weirdass: Dont worry about that sex offender label. Prison and societal shunning will make him one soon enough.

Preferably, letting the DoJ charge him with other crimes, fabricating evidence and sentencing him accordingly just to make a political example out of him. Oh, and his family as well.

This.
I'm an Oregonian; nudity is not illegal in most circumstances. I'm sure those 8th grade girls have seen worse than that on the internet.

Not in any real sense of the term is any high school student an adult.

You can't base morality off some arbitrary age lawyers cooked up. You have to base your laws off morality and make sure your lawmakers listen to you.

I wouldn't word it that way.  That opens the flood-gates to some really messed up stuff from people who will claim it's about morals.  How about "base laws off of the peer-reviewed requirements of a functional civilization"?

Wow, I went to a summer camp that was on a saltwater pond connected to Narragansett Bay in RI. There was a tour ferry that came by every day called the Southland, and every day at least 20 campers would line up on the waterfront and moon the southland. You could even hear the person giving the tour saying over the PA, "And to your left is camp Fuller, where it's always a full moon." I'm guessing they don't do this anymore since seeing a butt (or twenty) will totally warp people's fragile little minds.

Jesus, I am pretty conservative and whatever the opposite of an exhibitionist is, but you people saying this kid got what he deserved seriously need to unwad your panties.

School District Superintended Doug Arnold said, "It's a violation of law not to keep your clothes on. It's unacceptable in school." He added, "I don't know that anybody would condone mooning someone." Arnold told Eyewitness News the school left it up to police to investigate and decide whether or not to press charges.
