I'm convinced that Christopher Guest produces more work overall since he has six fingers on each hand and can type scripts faster than anybody else.

wingnut396: I just want to pay for HBO without having to pay for $150 of other crap that I don't want so I can get the ability to pay for HBO.  Is that too much for a person to ask?

I'd just like to pay for boardwalk empire and whatever this CHristopher Guest thing will be, and not have to subsidize Bill Maher and Girls.

downstairs: SmackLT: I tend to like Christopher Guest comedies. Will check this one out.

Yep, its got a lot of his regulars... its going to be good.

Hope to see a lot of Fred Willard.

If you'd been in that movie theater, you would have already seen a lot of Fred Willard.

Shostie: I tend to think of him more as "dude from Bridesmaids."

Really? What kind of tampon do you use?

/Bridesmaids wasn't funny. It was lady-funny. Which is similar to special Olympics athletic.
//No, I'm not athletic, not even special Olympics athletic.

ELKAY: I would gladly pay a subscription to HBO GO but instead I use my parents.

Well, the rest of the town has been using your mom for ages, so it's only appropriate.

/They're using her for making sex with.

So wait.... the difference between a "sponsored link" and a "featured partner" is the ability to add comments?

It is coming.  The pieces are in place.  They're looking for an opportunity when the networks aren't looking.  They seriously are giving off vibes that they would love to sell HBO GO directly, without the cable provider's mitts all over them.  They're just scared that if they do the providers will go scorched earth on them.

All they need is an opening.  Where it doesn't seem like they're screwing the cable companies.  Then we can watch boobs and dragons all day long.

Excuse me if this off the subject a little bit, but just take a guess at how much I can bench press. Come on, what do you think? Take a guess. 315 pounds, at the top of my game, maxing out at 500!

Heh.  Is there any line Willard has delivered in all his work under Christopher Guest that *isn't* golden?

jack21221: Is he just going to be "Roy from the IT Crowd" for his entire career? Or can we call him Chris O'Dowd one of these days?

I guarantee that if it had said Chris O'Dowd in the headline, one of the first three comments would have been "who?". I think he has a lot of face recognition, but much less name recognition at this point.

I tend to like Christopher Guest comedies. Will check this one out.
