As he works to refashion his image, McConnell is building a sophisticated data operation aimed at identifying as many friendly voters as possible.

Built by Republican tech innovators to collect and parse voter data in real time, the system is intended to turn out the GOP base.

Good luck with that.

They also spent over 400 man hours on naming it though.

They call it "ORCA," because Obama's data-mining operation was called "Narwhal," and orca's eat narwhals! Ha ha ha ha!

It's going to be great I tell ya.

Wait - McConnell thinks Obama did something right? Unpossible.

When I saw a meme from his campaign I thought he had some pretty savvy staffers.

#1 All he has is conservative "humor"
#2 He doesn't understand how memes work.

Mitch McConnell is the antithesis of "hip".

Just like the word "troll" has lost all meaning and now is just "being mean to someone", the word "meme" has lost all meaning and now is just used to describe image macros. Thanks alot, nerds.

As tempting as it may be, no, I'm not moving to Kentucky just to vote against McConnell.

It's Kentucky. All he has to do is villify that ni...um, what I meant to say was "socialist," clearly, why would you think I was gonna say something else, YOU'RE THE RACIST HERE!...in the White House and the rubes will fall in line.

By internet meme you mean a bad Clint Eastwood speech?

I was REALLY hoping for McConnell dressed up like a turtle.

REALLY, REALLY hoping

FTFY.

Also, I'm not terribly concerned about the Republicans' cutting-edge use of the internet. Pretty sure that all thirty of AOL's remaining subscribers vote GOP already.

i'm more confused at to why they keep reminding people they paid clint eastwood to troll them all at the primary convention. yes GOP, we know you're delusional.

McConnell is legalized bribery's best friend in Washington. There should be a picture of him next to the word corruption in the dictionary. Here's a meme for him: the troll face with the caption, "I will need a briefcase full of cash before I will let you talk to me. Problem?"

2013-05-09 04:08:07 PM
Don't forget the astroturfers, Republicans!

You gotta have swarms of out of work pay-per-post twenty-somethings actively proselytizing on your behalf, to give it that grass-rootsy type feel. Best ROI your campaign dollars can buy.

Further proof that the GOP does not understand, nor can do, "humor".

Seeing Talking Turtle try to look "hip" and "cool" has all the telltale marks of a Simpsons episode, where Montgomery Burns hires a consulting firm to help improve his image, to convince the Joe Six-Packs that M. Burns is NOT a despotic nightmare made flesh who wants to destroy what he cannot own and make dance like puppets at his command.

You expect true conservatives to take an extremist anti-slavery stance?! RINO.

That's a good point. The current GOP would only dislike slavery because having to house and feed slaves is less cost-effective than employing third world labor.
