Looks like killer whale teeth and skull. Yes, I've seen one before. But that doesn't mean it's not aliens. I mean, a sea monster.

My NASA revenge fiction also starts with scientists "dismissing the Buzz"
Then he gets a flame thrower.

Them!

One of the rare SF movies in which the police and the scientists are intelligent, responsible, and don't have the tiny brains of retarded field mice, I mean Fundamentalist Republicans.

A sympathetic and realistic portrayal of honest people doing their jobs under difficult circumstances, namely an invasion of ants the size of heffalumps.

"It has a huge head and teeth with rudimentary flippers."

Great, now I'll have nightmares about teeth with rudimentary flippers.

I have notes. Well, one note: a better title might be Falling Towardss Every Thing in Proportion to Its Mass.

However, you raise an interesting point, namely that the one thing people forget about gravity is the main thing about gravity: every mass attracts every other mass.

A recent article points out the seeming anomaly that melting glaciers can mean lower sea levels near the place where the glaciers are melting. This is because the mass of the glacial ice is so great it actually pulls water towards it. When the mass melts away, so does this attraction between ice cap and sea. The water is not spread evenly over the sea:  the sea is lumpy.

But I digress.

Did you know that killer whale is a misnomer. They aren't whales. They are very large dolphins.

Also, they don't often attack humans. They do, however, prey on "other" whales, dolphins, seas lions, seals, walruses, etc.

With global warming reducing the ice cover, killer whales are turning up in Hudson's Bay more often and in greater numbers. Many locals are astonished to see them as the ice kept them out for most of history.

They may be a threat to rare sea mammals. They should add that to the list of 10 Reasons to Punch a Dolphin in the Nose. Bastards. They aren't the lovely new age saints that many people believe. They've been observed to commit rape, murder, infanticide and other acts of wantoness and cruelty. They can be real jerks, just like any other intelligent social mammal, such as the baboon, killer whale, or Weather Prognosticating Ground Hog.

I have one simple request. And that is to have ea monsters with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads.

Don't be silly. Heffalumps don't grow nearly that big.

/The monster in the article is obviously a viral marketing stunt for that new Pacific Rim flick.
