I'd like to see a counter-suit by the Tour in an atempt to recover the funds that Vijay's idiotic sexist statements about Annika have cost them over the years. Claim that a sponsor left or was hesitant or similar.

And if I was Vijay, I'd just go ahead and get ready to lose strokes for slow play while I was at it.

Because Vijay was totally the most influential person saying stupid shiat about Annika back then?

What? Just because he has a lifetime ban from appearing in Asian PGA Tour events...

Also, "an atempt"? WTF, Gonz?

IIRC, that was a BS controversy. He said +/-   " . . . I wouldn't play with her . . . ", the press ran with that as a literal statement, when what he actually said or meant, was that, as a past winner of that event (they get grouped with other past winners), he "wouldn't be playing with her" so his opinion wasn't that important.

He might have been presumptuous assuming she wouldn't make the cut, but he wasn't the ass they made him out to be.

You know what's awesome about the internet? It remembers things.

"Why? Because she doesn't belong out here," Singh said. "If I'm drawn with her, which I won't be, I won't play."

But at least he had the courage of his convictions...

Vijay Singh, who complained at length about Annika Sorenstam playing in this week's Colonial in Fort Worth, has withdrawn from the event.

You wanna try a different approach towards white-knighting Vijay?

Nope.  I stand corrected.

IIRC means "I'm not looking it up", so I wasn't standing as an authority on the subject.  I'll be more careful.
