There's something pretty damaged in Ted Cruz.

2013-05-09 08:14:02 AM
Please proceed, Senator.

Yeah, the dems have a crush on Cruz, just like I have a crush on this girl in class. I am infatuated with her ignorance, selfishness and bigotry, and I want to make the other bullies think she is the biggest bully, so then they will attack her and then tear themselves apart. Its just like a crush, really.

There's a rule in talk radio that you only let the craziest callers on the air because it will make the host sound more moderate, therefore more respectable.

I hope Cruz never stops talking. Every time he opens his derp-filled mouth, the GOP looks worse and worse. No wonder Karl Rove is on an all-out campaign to defeat any Tea Party candidate he can during the next primary season. They are literally ruining the Republican Party.

Yep... Ted Motherfarkin' Cruz for President.   I hope you're right Mr. Baylor grad and that he does win the Republican nomination.  He'll get curbstomped everywhere outside of Tea Party Derpistan.

It amuses me that his supporters apparently don't realize that Calgary, Alberta is in Canada, making him ineligible.

FTA: Enter Eric Cantor ... aaaand, exit Eric Cantor.

Dems better be careful, that much glee buildup and the roof may be damaged.

/lost the glee cleanup budget in the sequester?

It's not so bad living in Tea Party Derpistan if you can avoid talking to people for more than 5 minutes at a time.

When the same outside money used to scare away Arlen Spector from the Republican party, then take out a North East liberal for senate, started showing up in Texas to take out conservative Republican leadership in the Texas Senate race, that's a big sign there's a real purchase going on.

Cruz is Citizens United. Why an Ivy League Cuban, about as rare in Texas as a popsicle floating in Corpus Christi bay, gets elected in a state that loves it's Mexican roots is not so much a mystery when Yankee dollars mixed with oil money talks.

Yeah, that's a weird one. I'm not sure that it *should* be the case that someone born out of the country can't be President, but under the consensus understanding of "natural born citizen" operating for over two hundred years, someone born out of the country except *perhaps* the offspring of a diplomat would be ineligible for the office. If Barack Obama had been born out of the country, he would have been ineligible. (He wasn't born out of the country, of course; the birth certificate is prima facie evidence of that).

This would be glorious. The Cruz/Palin ticket would win Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Alaska, Wyoming, Oklahoma and Utah, and lose every other state, no matter WHO the Democrats run. And yes, this ticket would lose in Texas.

Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease.....

The funniest part is if it came down to Cruz running I guarantee you the birthers would say "well Obama was president for eight years and you libs didn't care that he was not born here. You just care now that Cruz is running because you are a hyper partisan jerk."

Yeah, pretty much. But Dems should support Cruz' candidacy for another reason: he and Rand Paul will rip each other and the GOP to shreds in trying to secure the nomination.

Democrats are delusional then.

Ted Cruz is much more loved by the GOP. He gives them political cover to quietly kill legislation and any actual action while he takes the heat and inevitably gets re-elected year after year.

Oh no.  See His mom was an American Citizen, even if his dad was a Canadian one, so even though he wasn;t Born in the US he is CLEARLY a natural-born citizen, Unlike Obama who, although born in Hawaii CLEARLY wasn't a "natural born citizen" because while his mom was a US citizen his father was not, and according to the 18th cenutry Swiss legal philospher DeVatel, you only count as a natural born citizen if BOTH parents are citizens of the country you want to claim citizenship of.

And then there is the fact that Ted Cruz-being a first term senator- hasn't yet been "spoiled" by being a Washington Insider, so now is the perfect time for him to run for President, unlike Obama was as a first-term senator was WAAAY to  inexperienced to be even remotely qualfied to be president.

Let's also note that Cruz is a really smart guy with impressive academic credentials like a Harvard Law degree, unlike that uppity elitist Obama whose schooling at elite universities  like that liberal bastion of Havard Law School put him  out of touch with regular Americans and indoctrinated with socialist values.

And unlike Obama who never had a "real" job other than being a lawyer and never so much as ran a lemonade stand as a small businessman;  Ted Cruz has an impressive resume, having worked as a lawyer for several federal agencies and the State of Texas

Oh, well, shiat, I stand corrected.  I was just going off what some schmuck in another thread or something mentioned the other day.

Ted Farking Cruz, esq., Douchenozzle

You really think Texas isn't going to re-elect him? The job is his as long as he wants it.

FTFA: "The senator's focused on his work for Texans in the Senate."

Well, that's just him and one other guy. What about his constituents?
