Guys, I really don't think she was planning on running anyway.  Give it up or see if you can tie it to Chelsea.

I'm no expert on Benghazi, though with all the Fark greens I should be, so I can't say what happened.  However, we have an article here wherein the author concludes that all these people lied because this other person said so.

"We believe what this person says against everyone else because it supports are viewpoint" is not a good way to persuade people of your argument.

Still, I'd expect nothing less from Townhall.

That seems to be what I'm hearing in general. These guys didn't see the video as involved, therefore... they override everyone else who DID think it was involved. This obviously makes it a scandal and a lie.

You have to dismiss the OTHER people/evidence to make it a scandal. Otherwise, it's just as we've feared all along - a basic farkup of preparedness, not a deep scandal.

Look, the Benghazi scandal is the only legacy of Secretary of State Clinton's time in the office.  Without that, she literally accomplished nothing of note

I asked Chelsea Clinton if she had plans to become a politician herself one day.  I now know the look her husband gets when he pisses her off.

Apparently, being overtaken by smoke inhalation and then taken to a local medical center now equals;

"In his recollection of events the night of September 11, 2012, Hicks stated that U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens called him and said, "We are under attack," just before he was brutally murdered and dragged through the streets. Again, no mention of a protest."

And there is where I stopped reading. He died of smoke inhalation from a fire set by the attackers (not fun but not exactly 'brutal', either) and was then dragged/carried by SYMPATHETIC Libyans to a hospital. You are so full of shiat, Townhall.

I guess that's true if you ignore rescuing Chen Guangcheng, the dissident who took refuge in the U.S. Embassy in Beijing in May 2012, without crippling U.S.-China relations.  Or brokering a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel earlier this year.

You cannot like her as a person or her politics.  But claiming she's done nothing is as stupid as staying President Obama's done nothing.  Maybe they've done nothing you supported but saying they've done nothing at all is just dumb.

I think I can speak for 70% of the population when I say that I don't give a baker's fark about anything to do with Benghazi, and I haven't since about a week afterward, because that's how significant it was to me.  It's only a big deal to people that want it to be a big deal.  But compared to the lies of Bush (1 and 2) and Reagan, it doesn't even make a blip on the radar.

Now, how many days has Lindsay Lohan actually served in jail for her many legal transgressions?

So the Republican solution to the attack on the Benghazi consulate would have been to send four guys in hours too late and leave the Tripoli consulate undefended?  BRILLIANT!

I disagree. Sure, for some Republicans that's the reason, but Clinton proved that really, all it takes for Republicans to go into full butthurt witch hunt mode is for the President to be a Democrat.

Republicans cannot STAND being out of power. They're farking children, stomping their feet, whining and holding their breath until they get their toys back.

Well, it's not like Bush didn't things that were infinitely worse and didn't get called out on it.  I SUPPOSE it could be because Obama plays for the wrong team - dems - but who knows... it could be because he ate arugula too.  Isn't his mere existence an afront to our way of life?

Bush didn't get called on his shiat? He's still getting called on his shiat. In fact, he's the go-to deflection any time someone raises concerns about his successor.

There were numerous warnings of attacks leading up to it. The British and the Red Cross both pulled out -  http://newsbusters.org/blogs/ken-shepherd/2013/05/08/times-joe-klein- s till-bitterly-clinging-discredited-obama-message-beng and the Obama administration had the same info. Even after the first attack, they failed to do any forces to protect against a followup the next day, no troops, no overfly by fighter planes, nothing.

No matter how the Obama and Clinton apologists squirm, it doesn't change the facts, they screwed up big time, probably because they were too busy apologizing for an obscure video that the American government had nothing to do with (and it's not like Muslims don't make worse slanders against other religions). Rather than at least taking responsibility, apologizing for their failures, and trying to change things to prevent it from recurring, they and their supporters just spew their talking points. Well, Stevens and company are still dead due to their incompetence, and no amount of double talk is going to change that.

So the ambassador ignored dire warning signs, put himself in danger, got killed for it, and it's Obama's fault?

How do you get to that last step?

Obama failed to send in the military to protect the embassy staffers the next day, after everyone had already been evacuated?
He failed to put people in harms way to protect other people who were already safe?

That's the scandal you're going with?

It's satire. He starts off by linking to a known joke site like Newsbusters, and of course the bolded parts are clearly a thinly-veiled reference to the GOP.

Let me get this straight:

Being incorrect for a few days on the motivation of the attackers - not wrong about the facts of what they did, just wrong about why they did it - and then correcting oneself after more information came to light - is a massive scandal, but attempting to make Libyans look like savages by flat-out lying about what actually happened is perfectly acceptable in Townhall's playbook.
