I feel like the Simpsons is that friend from college that you had a lot of great times with, but you don't see anymore.  You kinda feel bad, but the last few times you did get together it was a little awkward because you've gone in different directions, and eventually you just gave up trying.

md4606: I think it's sad that you people know the names of episodes of a farkin' CARTOON

In episode 2F09, when Itchy plays Scratchy's skeleton like a xylophone, he strikes the same rib twice in succession, yet he produces two clearly different tones. I mean, what are we to believe, that this is some sort of a magic xylophone or something? Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder.

keepitcherry: 1) Show jumped the shark when Maggie shot Mr Burns.

I think it's amazing how many people missed out on the joke involving Who Shot Mr Burns. It was a giant pisstake on TV cliffhangers and mysteries.

The Simpsons is just endorsed fan-fiction at this point.

An episode of Family Guy autoplayed on Hulu the other day and Homer made a cameo. The Hills and Jay Sherman have both been on The Simpsons. This is nothing new.

Yet it'll still be funnier than everything Seth MacFarlane has produced in the last five years.
