Why the fark are you rolling around a liquor store on 163rd street with $500 hanging out of your pocket?

2013-05-08 11:02:51 PM
OK, so what is the reward on this kid menace?

Well, not every place accepts American Express.

Kid works hard his whole life just to have some jackass steal everything.

It's just not right.

Reminds me of the time I was walking through the mall in the late 80s and there was a small child, maybe around 4-5 years old heading into a Burger Chef all alone with a huge wad of bills folded over and held together with a rubber band.

Not only was this a theft of $500, it was also blatant comedy theft. Stealing money from children was W.C. Fields' thing.

I'd venture to guess that a liquor store on 163rd street does not. Perhaps just tuck those bills a bit deeper into your pocket

Christ, what a shiattily written article!  I had to read it several times to figure out what the Hell Ben Yakas was trying to convey.  Your writing is bad and you should feel bad.

If the kid was packing heat this never would have happened.

2013-05-08 11:39:17 PM
So what's the big deal? One of those people was going to spend it on liquor and now another of those people is going to get the liquor.

2013-05-08 11:45:01 PM
Hey, if he spotted the kid $500.00, he has every right to get it back.

In the other thread, I was arguing with a Farker about whether or not you could steal from a child. When someone unthinkingly refers to an action as theft, yeah, it's possible to commit theft against that group--in this case, children.

Because I have no idea how the game works.

I'd be pissed if someone stole my liquor money. Well, I wouldn't be getting pissed so I'd be pissed. Isn't preventing a Farker from getting inebriated considered one of the greatest of crimes around here?

Every place I have ever lived at the liqueur stores have large signs up that minors are not allowed I have been in a store when someone was wanting to buy wine with a stroller and the clerk had to stop checking me out and escort the person out of the building so the store would not get fined. New York is trying to ban large coke but its ok to have toddlers in a liquor store ?

Man, that's wrong. Everyone knows the best way to get $500 out of a three-year-old is to induce him into going all-in preflop with a small pocket pair.

Some areas have no minimum age for strippers.

Okay, that's not really true: according to police, the child was inside of a liquor store E. 163rd Street around 10:50 p.m. last Friday

She cashed her paycheck Friday night, then gave it to the kid for safekeeping in case she got robbed on the way home.  Not a horrible idea except the part where the money's visible.

Lived in Indiana, perhaps? Some other places allow accompanied minors, but they can't buy.
