Good news would be if The Hangover 3 was cancelled.

Alan Grant: All right, we got seven canisters of CN-20. I say we roll them in there and nerve gas the whole f*cking island.

Ian Malcolm: That's worth a try, but we don't know if it's gonna affect them.

Hudson: Let's just bug out and call it even, man! What are we even talking about this for?

Ellie Satler: I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Hudson: farkin' A!

John Hammond: Hold on a second. This installation has a substantial dollar value attached to it.

Satler: They can bill me.

Hammond: Okay. This is an emotional moment for all of us. I know that. I know that for the fourth time in a row, almost everyone got eaten by raptors. But let's not make snap judgments, please. These are clearly some important species we're dealing with, and I don't think you or I or anybody has the right to arbitrarily exterminate them.

Satler: Wrong!

Malcolm: Yeah, watch us.

Hudson: Maybe you haven't been keeping up on current events; but we just got our asses kicked, pal!

Hammond: Look, I'm not blind to what's going on; but I cannot authorize that kind of action. I'm sorry.

Satler: Well, I believe Dr. Ian Malcolm has authority here.

Hammond: Malcolm has...?

Satler: Am I right, Doctor?

Malcolm: Yeah... yeah, that's....right.

Hammond: Yeah... look, Satler, this is a multi-million dollar installation. He can't make that kind of decision. He's just a mathematician! Uh, no offense.

Malcolm: None taken. Chopper, do you copy?

Chopper: Standing by.

Malcolm: Prep for dust-off. We're going to need immediate evac.

Chopper: Roger. We're on our way.

Malcolm: All right. We take off. Nuke the site from orbit.

I'm sure a skillful editor could give us the cast of The Hangover III being graphically devoured by dinosaurs for 94 minutes (plus a post-credits scene with Mike Tyson dropping a velociraptor with one punch).

Can we just put a moratorium on sequels, reboots, and remakes for like, six months? Maybe a year?  Let's see what people can actually come up with.

If Bdub77 and Mugato write the screenplay, I'll go see it!

2013-05-09 06:54:41 AM
Opening credits:

Phil, Stu, Alan, & Doug wake up from a night of partying.

Phil: How the (expletive) did we get here?
Stu: Where did this (random animal) come from?
Alan: Oh man I wonder what we did last night.
Doug: Why can't any of us remember what happened & why i s there a dead hooker in my bed?

*Wacky chaos ensues as the boys try to figure out what happened the night before.
*Phil gets in trouble as they figure out what happened.
*Everything is resolved.
*End credits

If you've seen the first one you've seen them all.

After the first JP movie they really should have just nuked the island. If they'd done that they couldn't have kept making more and more money because lemmings will watch just about anything these days. Even the stupid Hangover movies.

/ I'll probably watch the JP movie
// It would be nice if they included the kids from the original JP in JP4.
/// Yeah you can call me a lemming but at least I won't spend money watching the crap fest that will be Hangover 3. Seriously it's going to be essentially the same movie as the first one. Just set in a different location.

Is the Hangover 3 where they figure out that the bearded guy is the source of their problems and the movie is just two hours of them punching him?

I'd rather have both franchises go extinct, especially if no feathers are involved.

/Take all that money and give it to Edgar Wright. World's End looks awesome.

They really don't need feathers. If you can't get over that, you probably shouldn't watch any sci fi movies.

I would say that both franchises should diaf, but I'll wait til I see a JP 4 trailer. It can be good, c'mon it's got farkin dinosaurs

Elysium, The Conjuring, This Is the End and Pacific Rim. Are there any other original titles coming out this summer?

I did too.  The opening was great as was Tia Leone.  It was also a MUCH better movie than JP2.  I usually pretend that the second one doesn't exist, much like Robocop 2 and Ghostbusters 2.

I'd pay $10 for a five minute viewing of the other guys giving that bearded guy electrolysis or whatever it is that keeps hair from growing, just so I could see his livelihood evaporate.

/irrational beard hatred
//thanks for helping with electrolysis, autocorrect!

Big deal. Isn't everyone just going to pay for Epic, Fast 6, or the Hangover III and then walk into the other two? Three movies for the price of one. That is what I will be doing memorial day weekend. Get my monies worth

Oblivion was original. It may have been based on a graphic novel, I'm not sure but close enough. And After Earf starring Will Smith and his kid. And At World's end with the guys from Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. And World War Z, which was based on a book but still not a sequel or remake. Compared to other years, this year actually has quite a few original movies.

Yeah, same here.  2 was just stupid.  I haven't been able to watch much of it since I first saw it in the theater.  3 really wasn't that bad.  Sorta wish they'd kept Hammond's death from the original novel in the first film, but I guess that's hard to do when they made him so kindly and naive for the big screen.  Can't celebrate the death of the guy who caused it all when he reminds you of a guy who dresses as Santa and visits the kids at a terminal illness home.

I liked the first well enough, but the only thing I liked about Hangover II was the beginning when Bradley Cooper's on the phone and says "This time we really farked up" with Zach Galifianakis hanging his head in the background.

Only twelve-year-olds and (most) Farkers could possibly think that the Hangover series has any redeeming qualities.

This seems like a great opportunity for franchise synergy.

The hangover dudes wake up with weird bite marks on their arm in a thick jungle. Growling is heard in the distance. Ed Helms' corpse is being dragged into the underbrush by his skull by an unseen beast...

I admit that my general grumpiness about them is that I simply do not enjoy comedies or movies set in Vegas, usually, so I do not judge you for liking something I do not like. :)

2013-05-09 06:09:42 PM
The first Hangover was a well written movie thou it really wasn't very funny. Didn't need a sequel much less two of them. Won't be watching.

NeverDrunk23: Is the Hangover 3 where they figure out that the bearded guy is the source of their problems and the movie is just two hours of them punching him?

Ohhh, so much that. I could only bear the second movie for about 15 minutes before I couldn't take anymore. I guess it's the old Gilligan syndrome, apparently some people exist who find it funny to watch a total fark-up fark up repeatedly, while for some reason no one around him gets overly angry or beats him to death.

Especially when he put out a movie where he played Santa Clause that same year.
The premise of part 3 just lost me. A bratty kid survives alone on an island filled with dinosaurs for like a month, and a dude from the rescue team gets eaten just seconds after landing. The whole time I was in the theater, I just couldn't get over that.
