Hill said it is too late.

"Today" is not "a future date." DK's attempt to manufacture outrage gets 0/10 and may God have mercy on their souls. Of course, the Republicans' attempt to manufacture outrage at the Benghazi catastrophe also gets 0/10, so may God have mercy on all of our souls.

Wow. What glorious bounty the gods of Fark bestow upon us.

Imagine how great our country, economy, and political environment would be if the GOP would have actually attempted to lead for the last 6 years instead of obstruct everything, manufacture scandal, and pass laws that they know are unconstitutional just to score some political point in a game that only they are playing.  The farking Tea Party can fark off.  Bunch of entitled, fat, white, baby boomers who ran up our countries tab, expect the younger generations to pay for it, expect their retirements handed to them, and have the audacity to blame it all on anyone who disagreed with them.

Wait, this Benghazi thing rings a bell. Sorry, I haven't been following the news.

Was this the thing where the White House said our embassy got attacked by a bunch of protesters, angry over a video that nobody in the middle east had even seen?

But in reality it was a sophisticated military attack, and no protest was going on?

Can someone bring me up to speed, what was the official explanation for the White House changing the story like this? I'm genuinely intrigued now.

Stimulus Spending
Solyndra
Obama's "Propaganda"
Fuel Economy Rules
Defense cuts
Unemployment Numbers
and now Libya attacks

And what has he come up with? Nothing. But nooo it's not a witch hunt right?

You are correct: Representative Issa's actions are not analogous to a "witch hunt". Representative Issa is engaging in a "fishing expedition".

A consulate (not an embassy) was attacked by militants on the same day that riots were occurring across the Middle East. First assumptions were that the Benghazi attack was also related to the video, and the CIA deliberately left that information in Susan Rice's talking points, even after the CIA knew it to be inaccurate.

Still waiting to see the scandal. Or, for that matter, why the motive for the attack matters.

I think his point is that it's no an outcry from average Americans it's only Tea Partiers with whatever DERP fits their fancy. If it wasn't Benghazi it would just be something else to make a "scandal".

Benghazi was nothing less than treason committed at the highest levels of our Government when Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton chose to protect Muslim sentiment in the region over the sanctity of American lives; those very individuals, our nation's sovereignty, they swore to protect. This being said, I have some bad news for my fellow patriots: other than the White House rolling out a few "sacrificial lambs" to satiate a muted public outcry, nothing will happen. I absolutely agree Barack Obama should be impeached for his involvement in this murderous fiasco, his complete indifference, but tragically that will never happen. Such an outcome would require Democratic Senators to cross the isle, to scrap their radical agenda, and progressive shepherds will work overtime to corral their restless sheep at any potential impeachment hearing. Despicable, yet oh so predictable. Witnesses could roll out piece after piece of incriminating evidence, the pictures of forsaken agents, only to watch the truth fall on the deaf ears of obstinate, party tools. After all, Bill Clinton perjured himself, committed adultery in the oval office with an intern, and knowingly obstructed justice, only to receive a slap on the wrist...a censure.
As for the fate of Hillary, the leftist media will systematically circle the wagons and portray Benghazi as a Republican witch hunt that shamelessly seeks to capitalize on an unfortunate tragedy...an earnest mistake...that precipitated this unforeseen loss of life. To pour salt in the wounds, I doubt the fallout from these hearings will cost her the Democratic presidential nomination, let alone hurt her Election Day chances. Why? Because most Democrats, especially minorities who now tip the political scales, could truly careless! They are only concerned about gay marriage, amnesty, gun control, abortion, and entitlements; everything else is moot or a Right Wing conspiracy. Yes, liberals really are that obtuse and myopic. The fact a majority of the American people no longer see past partisan politics to recognize such blatant criminality is a stain on our legacy, our legitimacy and this republic. And still people wonder how the Holocaust happened. This development merely cements the idea that America is irrevocable broken and fractured to the point of near collapse or revolution. Welcome to the golden age of progressive propaganda where soldiers can be prosecuted for exercising their Christian faith, while politicians at the pinnacle of our Government can commit treason without fear of recourse. Richard Nixon did what?

Wow, just wow.

And once again, if Hillary doesn't run (or runs and fails to win the nomination), the Republicans will have wasted all this outrage, and will likely have to make up some ridiculous conspiracy-theory bullshiat to throw at the actual nominee.

Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

I'm getting the sense whats driving the Benghazi thing isn't so much a left-v-right thing but the state dept vs the defense dept. Now the right is jumping all over this internal struggle to use for their own purposes but I suspect the thing would've blown over by now, or at least as much as possible with a teabagger House.

But state  dept folks keep saying if the military would've just parachuted in the A-Team negative five minutes before the attack began we'd have world peace by now.
