In February, a Gallup poll found that Mississippi was the most conservative state in the nation. In that survey, 50.0% of adults identified themselves as conservatives.
Corvus: In February, a Gallup poll found that Mississippi was the most conservative state in the nation. In that survey, 50.0% of adults identified themselves as conservatives.Isn't it one of the most poorest and uneducated states in the US too? Also a state that takes some of the most federal funds?
victrin: I'm in an interracial, same-sex relationship. I think their heads would explode if they found out we are stable and productive members of society.

dletter: To be fair, it was 46% of republican's in Mississippi, not all of Mississippi.Although, since that would be 46% of probably 70-75%, that still leaves it at probably around 30% of the state. And probably not a large % in cities, so, you are looking at probably over 50% in the rural areas agreeing with that. And people are shocked that there are cities down south that still have separate black and white prom's.
EnviroDude: Previously green lit too

Dimensio: I have considered creating a PAC or SuperPAC with the explicit mission statement of "Protecting traditional marriage". It would have a website and donation links and, upon amassing sufficient funds, would purchase advertising (television, billboards and other applicable methods) calling for a fight against the judicial redefinition of marriage in spite of public opposition that occurred in Loving v. Virginia. If asked for comment, I would reply only, "Problem?"
carrion_luggage: It's a shame, really, because interracial marriage is probably their best shot at getting a full complement of chromosomes into the gene pool.
HotWingConspiracy: We clearly needed to hang more people after the war.
