Significant influence from "faith leaders" is already observed in issues of health care, reproductive health, zoning and building regulations for health care facilities, government funding for preventive medicine, tax law, marriage law, consumer products, broadcast television, broadcast radio, film, military human resources matters, and school curricula. But guns are off-limits?

Politicians run campaigns on jobs.  Spend entire terms focused on stereotypical unpopular social issues that no one cares about right now.  Rinse repeat.  Poverty grows.  Poor people continue to shoot each other and abort babies.

If only there was a root problem we could address to fight these social ills.
