Is this different from the normal policy of operation: smear everybody? Because I sort of thought that included, you know, everybody.

Truth is coming out. LOL

2013-05-08 08:46:38 AM
Keep trying. I'm sure it will turn into a scandal someday. After all, Milhouse is now a meme, right?

Is this a scandal yet? I'm not putting any time into it if it's not a scandal.

This is the lamest attempted scandal I do believe I've ever seen in my life.  Seriously, some people got killed in an embassy, therefore....... Obama should be impeached?  Or am I just missing some important point out there?

Considering how Obama said f*ck em because he had an election to worry about, YES.

Has anyone ever figured out what this "cover-up" is supposed to be covering up?

There are plenty of people ignorant enough to believe that the President took time out of his busy schedule to intervene in a military operation because he was too buys to take time out of his schedule.

Is that the right wing line or did you come up with that yourself?

It's all they've got.  They're going to go with it.

It's a shame we can't concentrate on bringing the perpetrators to justice, but that appears to be unimportant to the GOP.

Not unless they come up with some better material.

Obama was born in Kenya... flatly false, and demonstrably so.
He's a secret Muslim...  no, he's vaguely Christian.
BENGHAZI... ok, that was unfortunate, and in hindsight things could have been handled better...  I fail to see a reason to be outraged.

At least they had Clinton on perjury.  It was perjury related to something that wasn't a crime in the first place, but at least they had SOMETHING.  I don't think they even expect any of this to stick, because honestly if this is the best they can come up with, they don't even have jacks or better to buy in.

Left-wing operatives funded by billionaire George Soros have taken to Twitter to mock reports of fear and intimidation among the new witnesses.

Oh FFS.

So far the only scandal surrounding Benghazi is the Republicans exposing classified information with a public hearing during the early days of an investigation.

Q: But how many of these attacks were after the Ambassador asked for increased security?  A: Zero
Q:  And in how many of these attacks did the President/Secretary decide not to assign available "free" DOD personnel to protect the Embassy?  A: Zero
Q: And in how many of these attacks did the President/Secretary decide not to authorize nearby security forces to respond?  A: Zero

Do you have any evidence of that?  For Benghazi or any of the Bush attacks?
From a credible source I mean?

One of the "whistle blowers" said that they had stripped security in Tripoli to bare minimum, is that what you mean by "available"?

Pretty much. The woman has about as much journalistic integrity as my cat has street cred in Detroit. Keep pushing this folks, and keep screaming hysterically, because it only illustrates the divide that the party is putting between itself and reality. Mocking folks who keep pushing an agenda that is pure theater and manufactured outrage isn't a "smear" it's a natural reaction to watching idiots scream and rub feces upon themselves...

Look, until a better scandal comes along we have to run with this one.  We tried Fast and Furious but for some reason that failed.

I guess it never occurs to them that you have to have a pause for your voice to be heard.  If you are continually shouting SCANDAL! eventually everyone is just going to tune you out.  Say nothing at all for six months to a year, then shout, that will work better.

No it will not.  And Obama still stubbornly refuses to commit an impeachable offense, so we're stuck with Benghazi for the next three years.

"Ha ha ha ha! DEATH TO AMERICA!"

"Mr. President, how can you be so heartless?!"

"BECAUSE I AM A MUSLIM!"

No, seriously. This is the kind of scenario that played out in their heads.

I personally think the drone program is far worse. If Bush had done that, there would (rightfully) have been a huge scandal made out of it.

Maybe, maybe not. It's hard to say out of context. At the time, Bush was doing as much damage, but with more US casualties, using traditional methods. The drones followed after to try to minimize the negative stats from the "war on terror." If he had used them right off the bat, maybe there would have been a stink, but maybe not.

The warrantless wiretapping is what gets me.  Everyone should be up in arms about having all their communications intercepted, and all I see is a collective shrug.

The drone program won't draw any attention as long as they're targeting brown people.

Welp, I'm interested to see what they come up with, if anything.
