Ahaha!  See?   Companies are realizing that they have no need for workers!

They make money though bullshiat, like buying a franchise that hasn't been good for over 30 years, and through laying off more peons.

"Oh, but if they fire everyone, no one can afford to buy their crap!"

As if the crap they sell matters.  What only matters is the perception of what their company is worth.  They fire everyone, and look at all the labor cost they save!  The workers are screwed, the customers are screwed, and the stock prices go up!

/I don't want to live on this planet any more

Even when they're running the wait is hardly 2 hours. It's one of the shorter wait times in Fantasyland.

Timing.

The wife and I went in early November.  It rained throughout one morning, but was sunny and mild all other days.  Long wait times were on the order of 20-30 minutes.  Short waits were about 10.

/of course our luck could have turned out much worse with regards to weather that time of year
//would bring better shoes next time... walking several miles on pavement several days in a row got rough

The new dumbo wait area is AWESOME.

"Here, have a pager that will ring when it's time to ride. Until then, put your kids in this play area."
"I THINK I LOVE YOU."

I was very impressed with that wait area. The new stuff at WDW is pretty nice but I wish they would put in another coaster at the Magic Kingdom.

Profits are up because they keep raising ticket prices.  Now I read that they are no longer giving discounts to CA residents to Disneyland.  Only a matter of time before they squeeze us FL residents too...

Ah Capitolism...

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train should open late this year/early next. It looks like a fun one.

Disney World has really impressed me in the last three weeks.

I took my son their in August of last year. A short time ago, I wrote them a letter complimenting them for their package pickup service. If you buy something, you can ask for it to be delivered to Customer Service so you can pick it up at the end of the day instead of carrying it around. There was some confusion at EPCOT because they apparently have two exits, so I wrote them asking to make sure customers are asked which exit to have the packages delivered to.

They phoned me a few days later to thank me and tell me they will be educating staff to make sure the exit is verified.

I then wrote again because I wanted a glass for my son, but forgot to get it at EPCOT. It wasn't on the Disney web site, but they emailed back and advised me to contact the specific company that was selling the glasses. That company called me back and we determined that the glass was discontinued. However, she checked and said, "We still have the design, so we can make you a glass if you want one." I'll be ordering the glass today, plus getting it engraved with my son's name for another three dollars.

I don't mind giving money to places like that.
