(ESPN)   I'm not sure, but, I believe Titus Young has set an NFL record by being arrested twice in one day. Majority of the Cincinnati Bengals looking to see how they can top that   ( espn.go.com) divider line

Wonder if he got released again that day... could have went for the trifecta... maybe start a brawl or something.

That dude is a team cancer and likely is done in the NFL.

/what a headcase

Sounds like garbage judging by the article. Punch a teammate during a workout? wtf.

Bet he has drugs hidden in the car that the police missed.

Not technically a current NFL player, record is invalid.

"He was told to stay away from the Lions' facility because he intentionally lined up wrong in a Week 14 loss to the Green Bay Packers."

What a class act

Maybe he could go work out with Jawalrus and see what he can accomplish under the supervision of purple draaaaank.

lol i love that it says he was drinking when he went to get his car back. i picture him climbing a barbed wire fence with great difficulty while holding a can of beer

Which is really strange because he says he's the G.O.A.T.

Well, this dipshiat is done. No one will want someone so pathetic as a person around.

My very reaction, and the only reason I could think of that would make him want to break into an impound lot.

A singularly stupid individual.

Genju: Sounds like garbage judging by the article. Punch a teammate during a workout? wtf.

He has some serious anger and ego problems.  He was suspended most of his sophomore year at Boise State for fighting a teammate.
Then after the Lions told him to stay away, he tweeted that if he wasn't going to get the ball he didn't want to play anymore. and he was making claims to some people he knew that he was better than Calvin Johnson.

He might not have a shot at playing in the NFL again, but he is a professional bridge burner.

Cliff Harris, who was just released by the Jets, was arrested 3 times in a recent 9 day span.  That's pretty good.

Or he could have been drunk and wanted his car back. People doing this isn't exactly unprecedented.

Indeed! I was so disappointed to see the Rams had picked him up off waivers, after he was released by Detroit. We need talent at WR, but not a cancer like Young. But it all worked out in the end, no harm to the team, just 10 days we'd rather forget ever happened.

2013-05-08 08:07:54 AM
Guy is the worst teammate ever. I would rather have Mike Williams or Joey when they sucked. The Lions gave this guy every opportunity to figure it out, they needed this head case to figure stuff out.

He thought that he was a better WR than Calvin Johnson.

One question we should all be asking.

What would Charles Ramsey say about this?

Maybe he is just misunderstood?

He rescued those women because he was broken up about Armonty Bryant's arrest.  And that dude hasn't played a down for the Browns yet.

Thanks for only showing up to one NFL game in your entire career, just enough to f*ck the Seahawks out of a home-field playoff game.

Seattle wasn't going to win it anyway and they they're likely to be scary good for at least the next few years.

I don't think any Seattle fan would call it "likely" even if we had the best team by far.

No, we wouldn't.

But nobody has brought up Titus Young's classy alma mater, Boise State University! Producing wise and well-rounded individuals since such a time as all Idaho students are too lazy to go to Moscow.

Like someone else said, BSU suspended him as a Sophmore for a full season.   He wasn't a model player there either.

At the risk of seeming to defend the guy ...

He seems to have mental health issues.  Maybe he has substance abuse problems, maybe he's just incredibly stupid.  But the self-sabotage and delusions of grandeur point to a serious mental health problem.

Impound lots generally charge about $300 so he was probably just being cheap.

If it was impounded on a DUI there is a hold time on the car. Here it is 48 hours, I don't know what it is in other states. So it was probably that he was drunk and wanted his car back now, and something stupid. Like I said before, it isn't unprecedented that drunk assholes do things like this.

This.

To me this double-arrest incident has made Titus Young go from he's stupid/arrogant/high to there's really something mentally wrong with this man.

CTE perhaps? Chris Henry was a fairly young guy, did some crazy shiat, had a knack for getting arrested. At his autopsy, it was discovered that his brains were turning into oatmeal.

Has Young been hit enough to warrant such concern is the question I have. Or is it just a case of a something wrong with him because he was messed up from the start and/or he's been surrounded by people who only existed to pump up his ego to the point of self-destruction? I think CTE and all of that is possible, but it's too soon to say what his problem actually is.
