I normally don't pay much attention to your posts, but I'll say this:

I'll hold each of the farkers down in turn while you kick 'em in the nuts for this.

Chicken and waffles was a good idea, but the mass market production killed any chance of it. If somebody did it right, they'd taste amazing.

There are a lot of different cheese and hot sauce flavored chips.  Chicken and Waffles was the right way to vote and the people failed.

Popcorn Johnny: SumoJeb: Sriracha is the most disgusting spicy condiment in the world. It is garlicky ass that ruins all it touches. I don't get the love for that horrible sauce.

I had never tried it before hearing about it on the internet. I agree, it sucks ass. Give me Frank's Red Hot and I'm happy.

I'm in the Frank's group too. I don't care for the weird taste of Sriracha.

Popcorn Johnny: pxlboy: Pringles

Now you've done it, here come 200 posts about how "Pringles aren't chips".

why would there be an argument? Pringles are made from dried potato meal and corn and mechanically formed while a potato chip is a.. well a chip.. made by slicing a potato razor then and frying it.
they are "crisps" not "chips"..

the only argument that I could ever see holding any kind of weight in this discussion is that what we in the US call chips, the folks in the UK call crisps..  while using the terms "chips" for what we call "fries"

So isn't cheesy garlic like pretty much every other chip out there?

Hot and spicy chips ftw.  Then again, a main stream brand would never make them hot enough to be any good.  They have to pander to the lowest common denominator, and that demographic doesn't like anything spicier than spaghetti sauce.

Everyone should have: Sriracha, Tapatillo, Franks, Tabasco and 1-2 small batch brands. Each has its place and sometimes combinations are where it's at.

azmoviez: I call bullshiat on this one.  No one I know preferred that flavor and all the buzz was on Chicken and Waffles.

Much more cost effective to "pick" the winner where you already have most of the ingredients for... not hard to add more cheese to a line that already has cheese on it.

Maple Syrup?  I think they'd have to invent whole new processes to get that flavor into a chip.  You just know there was a private boardroom meeting where the costs were discussed beforehand and the "winner" being determined.

It is illegal to call Pringles "crisps" in the UK, but I can't find anyone who knows what the hell they are called.

As a semi-amateur hot sauce aficionado, I simply don't get the fanboyism love for  Sriracha.  It's not bad, but rather unremarkable.  I see it like the people that sing praises for Coke or Pepsi.  Yes, it's a popular brand, nationally and internationally, and no, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, unless you consider generic, ubiquitous flavor to be a bad thing, which I don't.

Not like it matters, I don't really buy or eat chips.  But that makes me popular when I eat out with friends, since they always get the benefit of eating my chips and fries with any meals that come with those things by default.  Still, I wouldn't pass up an opportunity to try these chip flavors.  Some of them are pretty good and/or interesting.

Why can't Lays get their proverbial shiat together in the US.  Australia and the UK have a much larger variety of chips (crisps).

Reverend J: All I wanna know is why aren't chicken flavored chips available in America?  I could get them all the time in Australia, but never here.

Because we have "Chicken in a Biscuit", which is the exception which begat the rule.

The Sriracha flavored chips do sound like a great idea but I mainly eat chips when I'm high and don't have enough money in my budget for macadamia nuts and canteloupe. Macadamia flavored chips is also a rather interesting idea.

biyaaatci: Chicken and waffles was turrible.  And I love chicken and waffles.

It was ... odd.  I never could figure out whether I liked it or not.  But then, the whole idea of putting chicken and waffles together strikes me as bizarre, so maybe I'm not the right person to ask.

Potato Chip Power Rankings

1. Better Made Red Hot BBQ
2. Salt & Vinegar
3. Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper
4. Plain
5. BBQ

Had to specify the Better Made brand, no other one comes close.

This. The Sriracha flavor is superior in every way.

Also, Pringles makes a Frank's Red Hot chip -- you should try it.

Yeah, for novelty factor.  I don't know anyone who actually ate one and wanted more.  They were disgusting.

I was at a D&D game and someone brought a bag of each flavor.  We had a kind of taste-test or study.  I ate more than one of the chicken and waffles.   They weren't BAD exactly, just --- odd.  But overall they were my lest favorite of the four flavors we had to experiment with.

Literally, everyone I know that has tried these chips (at least 20) has picked Sriracha. I don't recall anyone picking the Cheesy Garlic and everyone hated the Chicken and Waffles.

Well, now you do.

Utz and Hussman's chips are my preference...when I deign to eat manufactured chips.

I make my own with German Carola potatoes, organically grown locally in sterilized soil enriched by the castings of Canadian Nightcrawlers,  sliced paper thin with a custom made Shun knife, then lightly fried in triple filtered extra extra virgin olive oil, drained on Egyptian cotton towels, and dusted with  rare Mediterranean sea salt.

Only the best for me.

It must have all started at a meeting when somebody said, "Okay, who's got a plan for how we can promote cheese and garlic potato chips?"
