Or they could think of them as a small convent with an included orphanage.

The kid will be better off not "learning" in a Christian brainwashing center... er... "school".

2013-05-07 02:42:32 PM
Imagine the day the kid comes home and tells them they must repent for their ungodly ways

What if he agrees to become an altar boy?

Then post a sign that says "FREE ALTAR BOY IN RECTORY"

Fail on both parties.  The couple should know teh gheys aren't accepted in religion.

But it's the kid that's actually getting hurt over this by the school.

To be fair, it IS a Christian school...what did they expect?  Homosexuality is against most Christian's religious beliefs.  Freedom of Religion, etc.  Send your kid to another school...there are plenty of non-religious private schools.

Obviously, I disagree with the school on this issue, but they do have a right to be close-minded.

Christian school

Well there's your problem.

According to TFA, it's a "Christian" school, not a "Catholic" school.  If you don't know the difference, then you have no business in this, or any other, debate about religion.

Protip: All Catholics are Christians; not all Christians are Catholics.

Snake handlers?  Christians, not Catholics.
Bible thumpers?  Christians, not Catholics.
Televangelists?  Christians, not Catholics.

Where have you been for the last 2000 years?

Wow. Just wow.

Members of the LGBT community sending their kids to christian run schools makes about as much sense as a black couple who adopted a white kids sending their children to a school run by the KKK

I disagree, "FREE ALTAR BOY RECTORY" implies a rectory for alter boys that is free.  Rather than a free alter boy in a rectory.  Pretty big difference to me anyways.

On the TV note, since I grew up in a very Catholic small town, our cable system had the Catholic Channel, I used to love watching that old Nun read bible stories.

No, they don't. No one has the right to punish children for their parents' behavior, and the entire concept is abhorrent, especially for a school. If they receive one penny of federal funding, these idiots should be hung out to dry, because that is not farking acceptable in a civilized society.

Christians hate you. I hope this helps.

abhorrent1: Christian school

Well there's your problem.

Many non-christians are willing to send their kids to christian schools, because even with some religious indoctrination and having to spend thousands on tuition, its still a million times better than the public school forced on them.

2013-05-07 03:11:59 PM
Actually, the kid is facing expulsion because he won't stop playing with scissors.

Not by any reasonable definition, no.

As sickening as the idea may be, they have the right to be as bigoted and narrow-minded as they choose.  I went to Catholic school from kindergarten through to my senior year of high school, and while I got a better education than I would have if I'd gone to a public school, the students in public schools didn't have to go to mass twice a week, take an hour of Theology every day, or be barred from eating meat on Fridays during Lent.  So the better education came with a price, not just in regards to tuition.  You go to a religious school, you play by their rules.  If you don't like it, you send your kid(s) somewhere else.

"We enrolled our son in a Christian school because they are supposed to teach love, acceptance and forgiveness," Samantha Mabe said.

They teach love, acceptance and forgiveness in much the same way a Taliban-run madrassa teaches peace and women's rights.

Christians in America have stepped away from the teachings of Jesus a long time ago, and though there are decent Christians out there, they are becoming a smaller and smaller minority with each passing day.  These days, Christians only love one thing: the hate they feel for everyone who isn't a Christian.

public school sucks.

Unless these ladies are teaching said rugrat about the ways of xenu or c'thulu I fail to see the biatching about them being lesbians. So what. Its not like there busy recruiting kids.....
or are they?

While you and I may disagree, yes...they really do have that right.  They don't have to accept them in their church nor do they have to accept them in their school.  Something about a constitutional right to freedom of religion.  Granted, most branches of Christianity have no idea about Christ's teachings (I can't remember him saying anything about gays), but it IS their right.

Every Catholic knows child farking should occur in the Confessional.

2013-05-07 03:19:46 PM
When the sin is raping and impregnating a woman, the Church says you cannot punish the child for the sins of their father.

When the sin is two women getting married and raising a child together, the Church says the fark the kid cause he obviously chose to be raised by those dumb sluts who defy God daily.
