Our warfare is all about racism and dough.

Think of it this way; Would the Americans tolerate a bunch of Canadians tossing rockets across the border? I think if we lit up Buffalo, NY with a bunch of rockets a whole lot of hurt would be coming our way, and you as Americans would feel completely justified in doing so. So why doesn't Israel have that right?

No, that can't be right.

On the original subject at hand, anyone seen any corroboration of the report from TFA, and/or any information indicating "standard industrial accident" vs. "THE JEWS DID THIS"?

StanleyPuff: I didn't Farkie you because I am intolerant of your ideas; in fact, I find that I can disagree (or agree) with everyone on some topic or another. You are one of the select few to get a Farkie because you have repeatedly spouted talking points from a very specific point of view and I like to keep this in mind if I ever feel the need to engage you in the future. Please, this is meant to be a compliment, as you are only 1 of approximately 20 people on the whole of Fark that has received this honor, albeit meaningless.

The Fark Armchair RevolutionariesTM (of which I include you) like to talk about the working class and what "they" are capable of if "they" get too pissed off. Problem is, these threats have about as many teeth as the old pervert on The Family Guy.

Rage Against the Machine split up, Che Guevara is dead, Mumia is still a criminal and the closest you'll get to a guillotine is at an Alice Cooper concert. Otherwise, good luck to you and I look forward to seeing more of your posts.

(P.S. IIRC, Your buddy Karl wrote his manifesto while sponging free room and board off of a friend and his family.)

You understand that the working class revolution won't be so much working class as it will be young people, right? It's the younger generation (18-30 year olds) that are going to either fix the shiat their parents/grandparents thrust upon the world, or they will outright revolt. We're seeing that now in the the ME going all the way back to 2009 with the failed "Green revolution" in Iran. But it's the younger chinese taking action, the younger europeans taking action, the young americans taking action. The governments of the world have everything to fear from the young people in the world and yet they do everything they can to prod them even more just to watch them get pissy.

We're workers, yes, but we're also the ones getting farked over time and time again in the last 20 years and we're fed up with it. We can organize better, we can get our message out faster and farther than a government could possibly do. The young people are the ones that are going to take back and repent for the sins of their fathers and it will be glorious

Hi there!

Unless you mean racist skin, then no. We all know that most skinheads aren't racist. right? Or are we back to that whole Geraldo, Quincy, Springer idea of what a skinhead is?

Yeah yeah, and swastikas are Bhuddist. Yeah, we know. You're so "edgy". So edgy.

FarkedOver: hardinparamedic: FarkedOver: namatad: you mean like EVERY country in the world?
Let me know when the white people have all left the US/Americas and given it back to the natives. Until then, all countries are theft.

I think borders are criminal. I think calling people "illegal" is farked up.  I'm not that big into nations and countries.

Things like that comment are what make people laugh at you.

I'm perfectly fine with that.  I'm sure people have laughed at many progressive ideas throughout the course of human history.

Except those that were killed because of them.  I'd bet they didn't think they were funny.

nah, but military targets are military targets no matter how many people live next door.
You would THINK that people living in OKC were pretty aware that back in the cold war, they had a giant target on their heads.

We did. And tests of the emergency alert system on sunny days did induce shatting of 501s

They still do.  Those Russian missiles didn't just simply disappear in 1991.  Nor did our nuclear arsenal that is still most likely targeting Russia.  Sure, we were told the missiles are no longer targeted at blah blah blah, and we did the same in good faith, but does anyone actually believe that?

We helped secure them and upgrade their computer control systems. You think we didn't verify their status?

Bhasayate: namatad: BgJonson79: Bhasayate: Somacandra: namatad: You would THINK that people living in OKC were pretty aware that back in the cold war, they had a giant target on their heads.

We all knew it. But its not like we could do anything about it. And people needed jobs when the oil boom busted in the 80's. Missile and research complexes are built where they are for a variety of reasons, including access to infrastructure and labor delivery. One can't say that just because its next to a city means the govenrment intends to use humans as "shields."

As long as we're calling people out, remember that the US dropped nukes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

You mean, the Democratic Party, spearheaded by a beloved president, dropped nukes...

and we fire bombed tokyo and dresden.

dresden - 25k killed, 100-200k refugees
tokyo - ~100k killed
Hiroshima  - 90,000-166,000 killed
Nagasaki   - 60,000-80,000 killed

so nukes did about the same damage as conventional bombing. just quicker and with one drop.
not sure that the dead care.

That's the rub: if you're going to call the Nukes unjust, on account of the massive number of civilian/noncombatant causalities, then you've got to call the fire bombings unjust on those grounds, too -- if you care about things like rational consistency anyway.

The only rational way to fight to win is total war, in which there is full participation in the war effort by the whole populace in some way. The doctrine of total war means that civilian targets are actually pretty scarce. When every machine shop is making weapons and every park is a mustering field or growing crops to feed the military, you don't have the possibility of separation that we like to think is civilized.

I would really like to know how a thread on Iranian explosions became an attack on the political and economic realities expounded upon by Carlin. Does anyone deny that we are bought and paid for by the powers that be? It doesn't matter what the owners of society like to call themselves. the fact is that any exercise of coercive power is inherently destructive to individuals regardless of the source.

2013-05-07 07:27:08 PM

Bhasayate: The problem is when capitalism becomes to regulated, it tends towards Fascism and Totalitarian abuses of power. This is where the US is headed, and politicians who are D's and R's are walking there hand in hand.

please
no really
PLEASE

while some industries have lobbied for regulation, in order to protect their own interests, which is TERRIBLE, we still have abominations like the cheney loophole which needs closing.

but in the end, you need balance
without regulation, we have the abortion which is most of the polluted world, china, india, south america, etc ...
with too much ... you get france

Factually incorrect. Most who were approached about it did not want to do it. Its was Secretary of State Byrnes's idea and it was aimed at the Soviets who were almost finished bringing their armies from the Western Front for a land invasion of Japan.

That book is so full of shiat. Seriously. Try reading anything....anything that has been published after all the magic intercepts were declassified.   Alperovitz truncated quotations or moved their context in a manner that altered their meaning. For example, Alperovitz quoted Harry Truman as remarking, just eight days after Franklin Roosevelt's death, that he "intended to be firm with the Russians and make no concessions." Truman's actual statement included the additional phrase "from American principles or traditions in order to win their favor"--which materially alters the sense of Truman's views.

The guy is a hack on this subject.

THIS
and in the end
every civilian paying taxes, growing food, clothing, pretty much alive, is directly or indirectly contributing to the war effort.
unless they are actively part of the resistance movement fighting against their own government's war effort.

the idea that civilians are special is a pretty damn new concept in war.
what is the POINT of war if you cant rape and pillage?

So...you've read Sun Tzu.  So did our founders.  Which is why they expected Congress, the direct representatives of the people, to have the sole power to declare war.  Meaning the majority of the country was behind the decision.

Bravo Two: somedude210: any verification of this from another source?

I bet someone dropped something. Time to reset the OSHA board.

So this. When you work with large amounts of heavy explosives, things happen.
