Indeed.  Along those same lines, did you notice in the video when he heard sirens and appeared alarmed?  I would be too if I were black.  Hell, I'm white and I have no trust or faith in police whatsoever.  It's not a happy reality, but it is the one that exists at present.

How ironic. The man who rescued the prisoner is himself a prisoner of a much larger victimizer. And there's no one who can rescue him.
