used to have a coworker who would joke about 'Danish pr0n'. No idea what it is, but must be something like grainy B&W photos of kippers and Carlsberg.

That sounds like bull, when would that have happened? More than Asea, AGA, Atlas Copco or Tetra pak. I know they're rich, but not that rich.

I saw it in a documentary about the group....I want to say it was Behind the Music, but Wiki doesn't list them as being profiled.

It was in their heyday during the late 70s when they were one of the biggest groups in the world.  The documetary said they were unreal successful with not only the music, but other things such as fashion.  Plus, made of lot of "promotional clips" (old time music videos) and helped pioneer a lot of things (poses, closeup shots, tracking, etc) that later became standard stuff when music videos hit the mainstream.

The doc said in Australia they were bigger than the Beatles, with some ungodly number of fans showing up to greet them at the airport when they arrived for one tour.  And they were so big they were NOT interested in doing any shows in America.....they didn't need the money or any higher level of success than they had already, and America just wasn't that big of a deal to them.  Eventually they did tour America after the demand for them to perform was so loud they couldn't ignore it.  But they didn't do it for the money.

But the doc stated clearly that - at their peak - they were the 2nd biggest business venture in Sweden, with Volvo being #1.

You may not like the group, but their success cannot be denied.

I'm not hating, like the people better than the music. But you have to sell a crapload of LPs just for one generator or some sort of mining equipment. Just saying.
