JohnnyCanuck: I mean, I don't disagree. However, I don't think you should be allowed to be photographed or recorded without consent in ANY situation. I just don't get what's so special about the gym.

It really should be any situation.

I once punched someone and broke her camera for recording me in the gym, though.  There's something vulnerable about working out, being not done up as you normally would be, and odds are, nobody is secretly filming someone in the gym without intent to mock them or make them feel bad in some way or the other. This is probably a pretty uniquely female perspective, mind you.  But the chick I punched that time, nobody thought I was in the wrong. (And she was absolutely doing it to be an asshole and because it was "funny" since I was, as most people would be, in gym clothes with no makeup and all of that.)

But yes, filming people without their permission regardless of what they're doing shouldn't be considered acceptable.

Killer Cars: thornhill: Videos like this actually make me feel bad for celebrities. You'd think the paparazzi would draw the line at the gym.

I'd be in favor of a universal law where any individual being recorded at the gym without their consent is allowed to BOTH smash the phone and kick the creep in the genitals.

What is so damn sacred about the gym? It's ok to get you when you're stepping out of a port-a-potty...it's ok if you're driving your kids to school....it's ok if you're vacationing at some hide away resort that you over paid for to ensure privacy....but NOT THE GYM....GASP!!!

Really? WTF is wrong with you people?

PizzaJedi81: Crazy or not, I've had a crush on her since I was a teenager and would like to give her some iron to pump, if ya know what I mean and I think you do.

Are you black? If so, you have a good chance.

I agree.

CSB:
I have a friend who is pretty "refined", if you will. An introvert who is never the "life of the party". Other than that he is a pretty average guy. Just not much of a dancer, or a "woot-woot" kinda guy when he's having a few drinks. No problem. Thing is there are people out there who think this is unacceptable. Like he REALLY wants to be the king of the dance floor or the person standing on the table. Anyway...during a family affair he, as usual, had people trying to get him to "come out of his shell". He relented and said he would dance for a song if it meant they would fark off afterwards. Once on the floor it started as a standard white-guy dance. The girl really started to whoop it up and somehow convinced him to let loose a bit. You could tell he was having fun and even started to respond and do some fun butt wiggles and some standard over-the-top dance moves just for fun. Problem is the other girl was recording it all on her phone and the next day is was posted online with some belittling remarks. Yet people still wonder why that wasn't enough to get him to be "normal"...or unique.....like everyone else.

Anyway....nuf rambling. I have some work to do.

pkellmey: Assaulting someone for doing something that is not dangerous to your person is not normally considered sane behavior either

I never said I was entirely sane, but this chick(who I previously did know)  was using that against me and doing something she knew would set me off, plus, her boyfriend was stalking and threatening me at the time and she was videotaping me to get in on the excitement, and I was more than worked up and stressed out by EVERYTHING and seeing her filming me just set me off.

I am so, so glad to be the hell away from those toxic, insane people, I'll tell you that much.

Judging by her tweets it isn't the paparazzi pushing her over the edge. They are just the icing on the crazy cake.

Do feel sad that she's gone doen this path. In some ways it'd be better if she faded into obscurity like Kel Mitchell did.

I don't really know anything about that.

My point is just that as much attention whoring as some celebrities do -- especially B-listers -- that doesn't void them from having privacy when doing basic things like going to the gym.

RockofAges:
DDP might actually help Bynes, ironically. He's now a healer and personal trainer with at least SOME cred behind the shtick.

He helped/is helping Hall and Roberts. That's a metric ton of cred. Heard he also helped Gabriel Iglesias get less fluffy or he did DDPYoga to do that. Either way, DDP works miracles.

Hmm, it's difficult to tell if it's her or not.  It's almost as if two people went out of their way to set up a phony video purporting to be shot by someone spying on her in order to cash in on her meltdown.  But nobody would be that callous, would they?  And surely nobody would be naive enough to fall for such a ruse, were that to be the case.

If I was her manager I would be mixing lithium into her oatmeal.  That's a pretty clear cut case of bipolar.
