camelclub: [ image 325x452]  Love the Marlboro man on the box.  I got my sugar fix in the morning and my desire to smoke some cigarettes after school.

Loved me some Sugar Frosted Flakes, but they always got a little too soggy while watching Road Runner and Coyote and Speedy Gonzales.

Back then, "sugary" could be bragged about, before the nutrition police spoiled everything.

Hey, if you've still got your baby teeth, who cares if they rot?

Skyfrog: antidisestablishmentarianism: Oreo O's were stupid sugary delicious. And you can't get Cinnamon Toast Crunch anymore?

It is still available but it tastes absolutely nothing like it used to. That's true of most cereals though, they've reformulated them all to make them "healthier" or just to save money. I've found that many of the cheap generic clone brands taste much more like the originals than the actual big brand names do.

This. In fact, Joe's O's from Trader Joe's is more like the Cheerios that I remember as a kid. I bought Cheerios recently and found them blander and mushier. I think they reformulated them to make them safer and more wholesome for babies, for whom it's often their first solid food.

The best cereals were from the 70's. Pure 100% real sugar when it was still bad for you; and food colorings in shades that not only caused cancer if you ate them, but merely if you looked at them. Zero nutritive value! But a healthy part of this complete breakfast!

I'll just leave this here. 80's, I know, but if you came of age in the 90s, you're not old enough to be nostalgic yet.

Why Would I Read the Article: antidisestablishmentarianism: And you can't get Cinnamon Toast Crunch anymore?

It's on sale today at the Safeway in North Beach (san francisco) for $2.99 per box. If CTC isn't available where you live, you should probably move. Eating a bowl of that delicious, cinnamony treat is just like getting a hug from the universe.

It was more like getting a 250psi sandblaster to the roof of the mouth.

Not that this ever kept me from eating it, of course.
