Well, the box is still screwed up, gonna be a hefty repair bill.  Here in Texas, if the cost of repair exceeds 35% of the market value, it's declared a total loss by the insurance company.

Next time, set some jack-bars criss-crossed in there to stabilize it.

If you're really smart, you'll avoid the whole "overturning" business.

Good advice in general, but in this particular case, it looks like that would have made just enough difference in energy absorption to make the truck flip all the way over to the other side.

Before I watched the video, I imagined it was the Army field expedient method, using a truck rim on the drive-axle. Attach a rope, use the rim as a pulley, start the motor, put it in gear to roll the rope up, and voila! This also works to get unstuck from the mud.

Trashed it trying to save time.

Still fun to watch tho.

It seems all nine responses so far missed the point so I'll address it directly.  These guys were laughing that they were idiots.  They trashed that shiat.  Try that at a job in the real world and say hello to the. unemployment line.

Perhaps, but in that country: What repair cost? That should buff right out.

No they're laughing because they expected it to only turn 90 degrees, not a full 180.

I've watched people drill water wells in a similar way before. Of course it's dangerous as hell but it will work if you're too poor to afford a driller. I've also seen the aftermath of an accident from that method and it ain't pretty. I had a cousin whose arm was nearly torn off at the shoulder when he was 13-14 years old. Gruesome as hell. They saved his arm but he was farked up for a long time afterward. It would have been cheaper to hire a well driller in the end.

Phase 1: place Ryan Newman's car directly on the other side.

Phase 3: Overturned.

I want to see the video of how the truck got upside down in the middle of the parking lot. I think that would be a lot cooler.

This is not your first rodeo.
