I thought Tavares was supposed to be good? He was nowhere near Dupuis on that play.

He's not exactly a defense-first player.

Wow, I turned on this game, saw the Islanders up 2-0, and smiled to myself.  The Pens looked at me, said "Oh yeah, OZA?" and just like that the Islanders are behind.

Oh, I thought it was me -- I listened to the game one on the radio (NBC Sports was having technicial difficulties) and the Pens won, then I watched game 2 on TV and they lost, then I started watching this game on TV, the Isles went up 2-0, so I muted the TV and turned on the radio and... well, you see what happened then

andychrist420: Good to be back.  Started coughing up blood before the Sharks game on Friday.  Ended up in the ER with pneumonia and blood clots in my lungs.  Typing this from the ICU. Probably won't be too active, farking doctors and nurses won't leave you alone.  But I'll be checking in, cuz it's the playoffs.  Go Isles and Sharks.

Now here is the epitome of a true hockey fan. Seriously though, you need to rest and get better for the next round. Best wishes for a quick recovery.

I haven't tuned in yet, just got home.

This is my favorite story about Milbury ever, especially the interview with Byers at 41 seconds -- "Why am I a 'goon'? Yeah, I got 800 penalty minutes, but I got two goals this season too!"

I might be able to go home on Wednesday.  Of course when a doctor says "might" it usually means he's full of shiat.  I'll still need 6 months of meds, but I'd rather be taking them at home.  Plus, my TV is much larger and there is beer.

Only when they want to spite me.  I get about 10 minutes at a time where the voices are silent.  Those are lonely times.

Since it's intermission, and I'm prone to OT posts:
My sister was in Pittsburgh recently and got my son a very nice Pens black hoodie pullover. While very thoughtful, she underestimated his dislike for the team. He refuses to wear it (sorry sis, if you're reading this) but he did appreciate the considerate nature of the gift.

If anyone wants an unworn but washed youth medium (8-10) Pens hoodie, email me at my handle @ ultrafark and I'll send it on my dime. I'll donate it otherwise.

Hey, as sublimely delicious as it was to win the Cup in the Joe, I for one kinda like the Wings. They make great Honorable Rivals and, unlike you, are classy.

With the Wings moving to the Eastern Conference, I am rooting for a Wings Pens cup, to settle it.  Best of three and all.

cameroncrazy1984: OMG Crosby is the best player ever! He passed it to a wide-open guy in front of the net! No player could have accomplished such a feat of sports!

I remember in 2008, when the Wings won against the Penguins, during some game of the finals there was a pass which Crosby did basically bringing the puck out of his own zone and to someone up ice coming out on a line change, and the ridiculous way the announcer praised him for this was over-the-top to the point I am positive what I remember is a caricature. There was some description about the poise with which Crosby passed the puck to somehow reinvigorate his team, showing the endurance of Crosby amidst a long (slightly over a minute) shift to kill off a penalty.

Coming off the bench, yeah, but it was just an minor roughing as the play went by him.
