To answer a question asked by absolutely no one.

I thought they were going to say something like he was born out of country or suffers from a medical condition that causes him to age backwards and will therefore never be older than 35.

But nope.

His coalition of stoners who rarely vote and paranoid off-the-grid gun nuts who don't register is a surefire winner, you'll see.

I don't think RAND PAUL will be President for much the same reason Newt Gingrich will never be: he's not nearly as smart as he thinks he is, but he insists on acting as Party Intellectual.  That whole debacle where he went down to Howard University to tell the students about how the Democrat Party were the real racists and got laughed off the stage is a prime example.  He has no appeal outside of the PAUL family fanatics out there.

/i use "Democrat Party" to denote the fictional political party right-wingers speak of in lieu of the actual Democratic Party

People never said a divorced ex-actor could be president either....

Rand Paul shouldn't even be in the House... I wouldn't trust that clown to run a bake sale.

Thankfully, the gullible clods who vote for the Pauls, couldn't organize a one car funeral.

Nope, I'm a dumbass. In my defense, I'm sick as a dog and loaded to the gills on NyQuil. : )

Rand is still a clod.

That's exactly why he should run just as hard as he can.

fta To be a viable White House contender, you have to be within your party's mainstream on public policy. He's not.

Time to put up or shut up, Teabaggers. Splinter off and become a real party so you can run all the candidates you support, but who the Republicans are afraid of.

2013-05-04 03:36:25 PM
Actually, the issue is whether RAND PAUL will be Senator.

And I'm looking hard at you, Kentucky. WTF is wrong you with you people?

Rand Paul's speech at Howard wasn't intended to persuade black voters to the GOP.  It was to reassure white voters in the 2016 Republican primary that Rand Paul isn't a racist.

It doesn't matter. Can you imagine Paul trying to debate Clinton or Biden?

Anybody who needs this explained to them probably wouldn't be able to interpret the vocabulary in the article.

Sadly, THIS.

But at least we've come a long way; overt racism is no longer a selling point.

There was a time when a guy could say something like, "I yield to no man as a fellow-candidate, as a fellow-citizen, in the firm, vigorous belief in the principles of white supremacy, and I shall always be so governed," in a campaign speech, and still end up getting nominated (unsuccessfully) to the Supreme Court.

Nowadays, it's a given that candidates will say, "Love your brother!"  Well, not literally say it, or literally mean it, or literally believe it, but that message should be clear, anyway.

Rand Paul will never be President?

Phew, that's a relief.

I notice on the side bar there's another article called "Ted Cruz will never be President"

Apparently Salon are doing a series on every GOP likely prospect for 2016.

/In my mind I can never just think of him as "Sen. Rand Paul".
//It's always" Kentucky Senator and home perm cautionary tale Rand Paul".

I know right?  There was no primary season last year.  None at all.  Never happened.  Newt Gingrich isn't even real.  He's made of spun sugar and a wish.
