Arent yearbook photos supposed to be only the student?

Stupid reason they give aside, traditionally one is only in a photo.

c'mon, what do you expect from the same class of people that insist abstinence-only sex education is accurate and effective?

cman: Arent yearbook photos supposed to be only the student?

Exactly.  Why did they skip right over the perfectly reasonable "the baby is not a student" explanation?  If I wanted a yearbook photo with my dad in it, would they refuse to publish it on the grounds that it was promoting old fathering?

I would hope so. Reckless parentage results in thousands of off brand golf balls being stored in closets after father's day.

"Teen Mom" isn't really that bad, and if you see the crap they have to go through, I think it actually discourages teen pregnancy.

The yearbook is for the students and the teachers.  It is NOT for the children of any of the students.  So, yeah, ban the picture of the mom and her daughter, but not because it might promote teen pregnancy.  Do it because the daughter is not enrolled in or employed by the school.

Teen Mom shows you what happens when you have a dumb girl from the midwest who is both too stupid to use a condom and also stupid enough to go on a TV show about it.

Is her spawn also graduation that year?  If so, then the little tyke should certainly be represented in the yearbook.  If not, then tough titties.  The fact that she was capable of getting pregnant before even finishing high school is nothing to be proud of.

Let her include the kid in the picture, then vote her most likely to go nowhere in life. Problem solved.

You sure do know a lot about yearbook laws and regulations.  Do you work in a high school?

You can't get SSDI for being ADHD, maybe Autistic.

Point taken.

Though putting the two ideas together: an illegal immigrant with a kid isn't getting most of the benefits listed except for free education.

Research is a wonderful thing.  This is the required level of impairment for ADHD, straight from Social Security's "Blue Book" listing of impairments on the Social Security website.  Took me less than a minute to find.

112.11Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: Manifested by developmentally inappropriate degrees of inattention, impulsiveness, and hyperactivity.

The required level of severity for these disorders is met when the requirements in both A and B are satisfied.

A. Medically documented findings of all three of the following:

1. Marked inattention; and

2. Marked impulsiveness; and

3. Marked hyperactivity

Yeah, that is rich with comedy.  First, the baby is a prop and 2nd an accomplishment. I would have refused to bring anything.

pose for their yearbook photo with a prop

seems about right for a lot of teen mothers these days to consider their spawn as props rather than a life to be responsible for

2013-05-04 02:33:36 PM
I've been browsing Imgur and kids have been posting their senior pictures that they've been taking with their pets. So apparently that's a thing.
And I doubt the pets are enrolled at many schools.

I think the school's problem with this chick is that she looks happy, well-adjusted, and white (in the picture, at least).

Having a baby and taking care of it is a bigger deal than anything any of the other kids in her class have done. Most of her memories of her senior year are going to be kid-related.

And all the other kids already call her "the chick with a kid".

I'm not sure where you live, but most of that isn't actually accurate where I live.

We give a LOT more money to  young single mothers than that.

My ex had 2 kids (not mine) and worked full time.  She got $6k a year in tax refunds (she paid about $1000 in taxes), and $350/mo food stamps, $450/mo "rent assistance", and free health care for her and both kids.  They offered her cash assistance and what they call employment help, which is actually 20 hrs/wk paid "work" where you show up and they tell you how to get a job.  (no one ever does, apparently)  This was a white woman, who didn't have kids until she was married (at 19) and had a full time job since she was 16.

Of course, a prerequisite of all this is that you don't live at home with your parents.  Which creates an interesting problem for teen mothers.

In my opinion, since they were expected to bring a prop, any mother willing to pose with anything else would deserve a visit from child services.

I guess my high school had it right.  Senior class photos were done with women in nice gowns, men in suits with bow ties (all provided by the photographer).  No props, no other photos allowed.  No attention whores trying to get their kids into the pics.  Some did try.  Some helicopter parents (even in the 90's you did have a few) did send their kid to a professional photographer of their own and then try to get their photo accepted by the yearbook people.  Those were rejected.

Wow, and yearbook photos are super important and everything!

You care about your yearbook for like 2 hours after you graduate, and for approximately 1 hour on every birthday that ends in a 0. That's it.

This isn't that difficult, people!

MTV and various reality tv shows is where I'd start the blame.  Second, well look at some of those pics of Justin Bieber.  Who'd look in a mirror dressed like that and say "This is a good look."  And then head out the door.
