Don't rename it. That ice cream flavor is delicious.

hard to believe we're coming up on 18 years.

I don't think jerry would mind.

Right now there are only 10 shows per year?

On one hand we have a non-profit ready to renovate the facility and provide fifty free shows a year.

On the other hand we have 1,100 people who can't be bothered to do more than sign an on-line petition.

Hmmm, tough call.

I'm a huge Jerry Garcia fan, so long as they don't rename it to something like "Mountain Dew Extreme Ampitheatre" i really don't care

Q: What did the deadheads say when they ran out of drugs?

A: Man, this music sucks.

Bob Weir is already 12 year older than Jerry was when he died.

The fact I went to shows almost weekly in the bay area for 35 years and I've barely heard of this venue, much less been there, should tell you something.

Did you go to Eugene in 90'?

Man that was a show.

Ego edo infantia cattus: Q: What did the deadheads say when they ran out of drugs?

A: Man, this music sucks.

Q: How can you tell if a Deadhead has broken into your house?
A: He's still there.

A venue named for Garcia that has only 10 shows a year has an offer to buy it and get more use from it (thereby helping the surrounding community), but because it involves a name change that still has Jerry Garcia's name on it, a group of Deadheads want to scotch the deal.

Tell you what... Have the San Francisco Parks Department call everyone who signed that petition and ask then what they would rather do with the property, and if they say to leave it like it is, ask how much they want to donate for the upkeep.

Levitt Pavilion San Francisco at Jerry Garcia Meadows

Well that just rolls off the tongue. People are stupid.

To Paraphrase Egg Shen:

"Jerry's in the heart, Jack. No matter where I go, he's with me."

Change the name and turn up the volume.
