The Crimson Horror, sure, but could Dr Who stop the The Crimson Permanent Assurance?

crotchgrabber: Just from seeing the threads about Dr Who and hearing some people talk it up I'm quite intrigued. But I have never seen one minute of the show. Ever. How, and where should I start?

With nearly 50 years of history you can jump in anywhere and be just as confused as the rest of us.

Normally when it's time for the Crimson Horror to make it's appearance, I hole up in the Brown Hotel.

mikieb: dopekitty74: whyaduck: Wow. I am dense. I just got the Thomas joke too. But in my defense I own a Garmin.

Sigh, everyone else seems to be getting it, but I don't....

Help!

I didn't get it until someone said they had a Garmin. It's a reference to TomTom, the GPS system. I don't know if they even still make them.

I think they still make them.

My TomTom is voiced by BRIAN BLESSED. It makes every drive epic.

So is the title, The Crimson Horror, a poke at the anti-Pond folks "Red Menace" nickname for Amy?

rynthetyn: dennysgod: This Doctor sure has a thing for Jenny (who can blame him) when they met up with the "supermodels" he's pointing his Sonic at them, but then Jenny rips off her clothes to revel a very skintight outfit he stares at her and his Sonic then points straight up in the air. Very cheeky.

I rather liked that she slapped him but good when he snogged her. This iteration of The Doctor has been snogging his companions willy nilly whether they want it or not, and he's been asking to be smacked.

They missed the obvious rejoiner: "Doctor! Please! I'm a married woman!"

Not sure about the kids in next week episode but looking forward to the Cybermen and how the Doctor will act if she get's a chance to bring up the picture of the other Clara.

About the only good things in this episode (SPOILERS, obv):

1) Whats-her-face in a cat suit
2) Love did not save the day. As a mater of fact, the day was saved by violence, lots of gratuitous violence.

So it had that going for it.

NeoCortex42: The 'Thomas' joke was stupid, but I laughed.

Oh, god. I didn't get it. I totally didn't get the joke until just now. I feel like an idiot.
