Obviously, we need a ban on assault shakers.

Now that these terrorist hooligans have been put to rest, America is a lot safer

It sounds like he was arrested for striking a school employee, not the food fight part.

Sounds fair to me - if you assault a teacher or administrator you should be arrested.

Yeah, no word on who started it. Misleading headlines? In my Fark?

When food is outlawed, only outlaws will have food.

At this point, I'm convinced that pretty much any of the school-based shenanigans in movies from the 80's and before would all merit criminal charges now.

If it was kids who brought their own lunches or bought them at full price, then they can throw them as they like. However, if it was those deadbeat children who leach on the taxpayer subsidized reduced price lunches, then nail them to the wall.

If more students carried lunches, they could have taken care of this person who decided to throw his lunch.

If starting a food fight is wrong, I don't wanna be right. Ahhh, Junior High memories....

No problem getting off of this ,

That person never should have touched him.

FTA: Some students were saying the motive for the food fight began as a dare, via social networking, from students at rival Western High School in Davie. Others praised school security personnel and deputies for the way they contained the situation.

Sounds like BSO needs to arrest all of Western High School, Amirite?

FTFA: "...BSO sends in like 15 cars/cops to diffuse situation."

So, the cops came in to move the kids randomly around like particles in a solution?

Obviously this is an example of homophonophobia.

I'd say that's a fair assumption. Anything from a romantic comedy works as well. Heck, almost any act beyond talking in a modern day movie or TV show.

That being said, cafeteria food tends to suck. I think kids would appreciate it more if they taught basic nutrition in high school and helped prepare some food before serving/eating with kitchen staff.

Food fights aren't the safe-ass mashed potatoes and goulash flinging you see in the movies. In real life, some jock sociopath inevitably gets a bunch of apples (or oranges, or anything else hard and baseball-sized) and starts whipping them at full strength into people's faces at point blank range. A broken nose is getting off easy.

At this time, if I had a kid in school, especially a high school senior, I'd be giving the "don't do jack shiat against the school" speech while keeping a lawyer on retainer.
